I think and idea would be copy the name to "clipboard" with a double click in the chat window and be able to paste it in the party/buddy/clan/etc windows.
Also, an arrow pointing the dude would be fine

You can invite people already by doing any of the following:
- click on their character and press the "+" button
- type the character's name in the text field next to the "+" button
- click on a character's name in the chat log, so it opens up in WHISPER, then double-click their name and press ctrl+c to copy, or highlight their name with your mouse and ctrl+c to copy.
- type /invite character name and it will also send an invite
I still want a better way of targetting characters though, because sometimes I need to target them for trading - not inviting.
I'd like the devs to introduce the /target character name command, which would then target them so you could run to the character, trade with them, invite them, etc.

unless you are a moderator of these forums or a developer of the game , i ask that you mind your own business ... thank you
If you are , then i shall honor your request and not bump it. However , you posting allows me to retort , hence allowing me to effectively bump it , for that i thank thee....

It's not just about ignoring it, when someone continues to bump their own pathetic thread that has already been discussed, then they take away the privilege of other posts being on the main page(usually, the main page is where most people post, because the second page has old ideas, or there's not enough time to get to page 2, etc)
So by bumping his own post...over...and over...and over again when it's been discussed, it just takes away from other peoples ideas that might actually help the game, and might be a buried treasure as far as suggestions go.

I see the point... but telling the person to stop bumping it won't always work, as these people are usually unreasonable

okay , i get the point
obviously you care about other things then something i would consider common sense. Have your role playing districts and complain you cant have drow's as races or whatnot.
Moderators , just delete this post for it contains an idea that nobody cares about , go sticky a post that petitions three handed swords or some other lame ass idea.
As for me ? I see posting and reading here is sensless because this place is worse then Jerry Springer with all the flaming and hatred. Go ahead and shoot me down some more , i wont care im not coming back.
Have a nice day

Not all the suggestions are about "three-handed swords". Right now, the devs are just trying to focus on major things right now, such as reducing grind, making things good for PvP and PvE, fixing the economy, and making the promises they made come true.
On top of that, they are working on big things for our free summer update, such as the Observer Mode, and probably adding finishing touches to the new quests, items, monsters, and areas.
There's no need to continue bumping a thread with a repetition of what's already been stated in your original posts. We understand your need for a timestamp and indicators, and you're not the only one who would like to see this. But it's a minor detail that doesn't truly affect gameplay (such as the economy), and it is probably something the devs and the community will consider after everything else on their agenda is out of the way.
With that said, just keep your hopes up. A timestamp and a log in/out indicator would be nice additions to the game, and in due time, the idea or something similar could be implemented.

Well, this is true, however I hope it's one of those minor details that they add into one of the upcoming updates. Anyway I agree with this idea, a noify feature that works like those IM programs. One thing that I don't currently like about the away, busy, etc feature is when you set yourself to away, it makes you appear in the friends/guild list as being off-line, not busy or away. Also it makes you appear that you've been logged off for "x-amount" of time, "X" - being the time you last logged off...which is not really all that accurate.

Yeah - I noticed that today, too. The status indicator, while there, doesn't function the way it should.
