Bring back: The Catacombs and Wizard's Folly in Post-Searing
When I wanted to the return to the catacombs from pre-searing, I was expecting high level mobs, or people from ascalon using it as selter... but to my disappontment, it was blocked off by a few bolders
Same with the Wizard's Folly, which you use to be able to get to, long gone.
Now I don't see to understand why the removed the Catacoms... a massive area which in pre-searing was hard and confusing if you weren't prepared to go down there.
I say A.net should bring back these areas, and fill them with elite mobs, maybe make a Elite Quest in the catacombs.
What does everyone think?

Agreed I really really enjoyed the catacombs pre searing
spent hours down there getting lost

They were destroyed in the searing battle. note that the landscape is very similar to that of Pre-Searing, with notable differences.. when they defer from the known landscape of pre-searing, it is normally an aspect of something from the catacombs.
There is an area similar to that west of the old abby. Also note the entrance from the old abby (Sardelac Sanitarium) is collapsed in.
As to south of the old abby, notably Wizards Folly area... There does seem to be a path to follow that would lead up to the old mountain range... many have speculated that will eventually be added as a bonus area of some kind... because the mountain range that was there is now gone. but there is a path to the old area but it has no portal, just a dead end and loops back around to the western side. Also Note the Estate from Presearing has been replaced with a large Searing crystal bomb crater. The early version of the old ascalon area from the beta didnt have much in it as I remembered after the searing, though you did get to see what happened to the fishing village, so that was lost I guess.
it was worse before they updated the post-searing maps to match up better to that of the pre-searing, cause you had NO CLUE where stuff was after the searing, if you got to know the area well before going into the academy. I think it was the second to last beta that they matched up the terrains better for post searing continuity... Remember early betas did not include the kingdoms part of the game at all, so lots Had to go into changing the old ascalon area to match the Pre_Searing (kingdoms of ascalon) layout before the launch...

Destoryed... removed more like it... since you may not it seems those areas of the maps were simply "taken away" for some reason
All the landscape has changed, but when you move towards the wizard's folly and the catacombs, they are simply not there anymore... which makes me wonder why the devs didn't add them back in again.
