Reaper lovin.
I like playing the necro in GW, fun class, and even playing a reaper as they are right now, is quite funny.
But there is room for improvement.
In missions, other players simply wont wait for me to heal my undead army every 10 meters, they run ahead and fight, and I cant say I blame them.
The rate at wich minions loose health, is much too high, I would suggets making them bleed slower, and at the same time lower their AL to balance the equation. If I only needed to stop and heal the army every 30 meters, it would be a huge improvement.

Cutscenes = minion killer.
Would it be terrible hard to stop anyone from loosing/gaining health points during a cutscene ?? cause even the smallest cutscene will kill any undead army, so I always skip them :/
-
Party pause.
Would it be possible to install a pause button ?
Like in the cutscenes, if 6/6 players press pause, then the game will pause, and the reaper can take a bathroom break without loosing his army

Bone fiend - bone minions ....
I have tried long and hard to find any kind of use for these, the bone minions are way too weak for 25 power, they do make good decoys when facing casters, but the cost of raising and mainting them at the same time, is just too high, I never use them.
And the bone fiends, again a 25 power cost minion, is just a weak shell of a pet, it feels like it looses health between battles at about +30% speed comparred to the bone horror, making it not only extremely expensive to raise, but also exceptionally annoying to maintain, its only positive is its range, it does survive area stompers much better than the horror, so it does have its uses.
I "might" use the fiends in certain battles if it had a 15 power cost, but at 25 its not an option, and the lvl 13 bone minions simply dont cut it at all, maybe if the cost was 15 for 3 lvl 13 minions I would use it, but the bone horror outperformes bone minions in every way right now.

How about a wraith pet ??? :P
Necros are fun though

Minions are meant to be disposable. I like the current setup, and I don't find it hard to keep an army up; what is your death magic at?

Agree - that's annoying. They shouldn't degenerate during the cutscene, nor should you get hurt during cutscenes.

Ask not what minions can do for you, ask rather what you can do with your minions. 2 minions = 2 explosions from Death Nova. Minions also generate energy if your Soul Reaping is 13+ (I highly recommend a 15 or 16 Soul Reaping) as they cost 25 to make and return 13+ each when they die - the minions actually generate energy.
In addition, your minions are a gift to all other necromancers in the party; a friend of mine is running a necromancer/elementalist with Soul Reaping and fire - yes, he's limited to a 12 in fire, but that's still a lot of fire damage, and when you have a guy generating minions you have an inexhaustible supply of energy. My spending 25 energy to raise two minions nets me 30 energy back when they die at 15 soul reaping, making a nice constant energy battery effect, which pays one of the death novas for example, but at the same time, my 25 energy minions give the Nec/El beside me 18 energy when they die, in effect meaning that for 25 energy I get to increase the party's energy level by 48, for a gain of 23 energy to the party every time I use the minions. That's as good as perma-BIPing the Nec/El. They might not be great, but they are free essentially, and help your party as tanks, sources of deathnova damage and free energy to other necromancers.

I have death at 16 with a superior rune, and reaping at ... hmm 11 or 12 I think.
You make a very good point about the bone minions though, I tried to apply them in many different ways, but they always always came up short comparred to the horror, but using them as batteries, thats just brilliant
I stopped using poison and disease some time ago though, I find I do quite ok using only well of suffering and swarm, so I most likely wont use death nova on the bone minions, maybe you could give me a few pointers on poison and disease Epine ?

I don't do much in the way of poison, excepting the poison from the death nova. It is worth noting that your death nova at level 16 does 105 damage in an area and poisons foes in the area for 15 seconds (which is up to 120 more damage) so it does a pretty good job speeding up the deaths. That's about the extent of my experience with poison and disease on a necromancer...
