Exactly!
Also, if anyone thought the ending of this was disappointing, you obviously haven't played KotoR 2 . We KNOW that ArenaNet are going to create an expansion hence the ending isn't as disappointing if you ask me (so long as they fill in the gaps in the expansion ).

i agree with Deathlord
it does feel like a cop out that people who beat the whole game don't get anything good for it.
and the "ending" is really bad. it's not even really qualified to be called an ending.
i don't think the answer is skill points, though. it's real easy to get 2 skill points on a Fissure run or something.
beating the whole game should give you something better than skill points. something like the fame deer emote.

Prehaps when you beat the game you gain access to more designs for capes? Or maybe the cape becomes longer so that it drapes behind you, giving you a royal sort of feeling.
Maybe that or an expanded stash cause be all need more storage space.

this argument seems to be one that plagues EVERY SINGLE GAME, lets face it it wasnt so long ago when pople complained about th ending of halo and that i u completed it on the hardest level u got an extra 10 seconds of cutscene...whoopy doo. its the same with every other game u spend hours battling only to reach the end and get a pathetic little cut scene then the credits, lets name a few..the matrix, morrowind, any fps shooter, hell name one game out there that actually does have a good ending, to be honest the beter a game the worse it is when u do get to the end for the simple reason...its the end..no more. i mean when it comes down to it what do u relly want when you reach end of a game...more of the game is i bet what most peopl would answer, i for one have never come across a game ending that i would say yeah thats cool, instead its more like..damn i finshed it, now what do i do. at least GW has the value of the GVG and HoH games rather than going thru it all again, and even that isnt to bad cos the challenges of a new char make the playability different. on a final note one other game that i failed to mention is fable..now there was a game that we waited years for, was promised so much and in the end though it looked pretty was far to short, had no real class development and had the worst ending ever..nuff said

Huh? You get skill points for all the missions, including the Fire Island ones.
It would be nice if later missions rewarded more experience points. The flat 1000 is great in the beginning, but it's no big deal in the end. If we have quests that reward up to 5000 XP, I don't see any reason why the Fire Island missions couldn't reward something like that.

I agree with Dreamsmith, they need to up the exp reward for finishing missions towards end of the game, at least from Southern Shiverpeaks and up. Most people are 20 by then and 1000 exp is only 1/20th of a skill point at that point. However I see no real reason to give anything special for beating the game that would give and edge over other players who havent, more storage space yes, a new city yes those are great ideas but this game isnt about time played in the end. Just be glad it doesnt end there. There will be more to come

I never assumed that for a second, but are you inadvertently admitting it now?
Funny you bring up the whole "noob" and "aggro" thing - I don't see where I insinuated any of this...curious.

When you beat a game you should get a token that cant be traded or sold. It has the ability to summon dwarven ale infinitly. The ale cannot be sold but can be traded for partys and such.

I disagree with that as many people will no longer buy ale, and one of Arenanets newly implemented money sinks will be gone.

I'm with you on that one...those poor dwarves will go backrupt...not to mention the ale would have no re-sale value, except in Lion's arch dist. 1 where people will spam "2 million ale, 100 gold."

Come on! How would it be bad? Fine! Fine! Make it a "HARD" quest to get the token to get the ale! Only you can drink and produce the ale! It worked in everquest and it prospered! It was brell's tackle box that summoned fishing bait and ale both no drop of course
