This may have been brought up already. I apologise if it has.

I think it would be nice if you could pay maybe 100k and then be able to buy a horse. This horse even goes inot town with you. Not only does it look nice, you move faster on it. You should also be able to pick your choice of horse. They should not be able to fight or affect your fighting.

What do people think of this idea?

Perhaps then not to move quickly. But it would still look nice.

But Im definately against horses. If you want to 'look nice' then there are plenty of other things that could be done to make you look cool and cost money.

More armors, and more customizable armors...as it is now, you can only dye a portion of your armor. Maybe they could make it so you can dye your armor multiple colors. As in your armor will have multiple dye spots, this would allow for super customization.

And yes, the horse thing has been brought up alot. Use search, type in horse.

i dont think he meant to go from town to town. i think he meant "Ex. running from bergan hotsprings to ToA" just making running fast on an animal ..

but yet again horses suxz.. maybe a dinosaur?

A Rex or one of those flying ones (dunno what they're called) would be cool. A rex would be like riding a hydra.

There won't ever, ever, not in a million years, be a riding animal in this game. If teleporting at a click of a button isn't good enough for people, they can go try Warcraft and then try to get around on 10 minute flight paths and horses / stuff that take even longer. @_@

Im just saying it would be awesome to RIDE a T-REX around the map for the hell of it. dont you think that is awesome? like rideing up to a bone dragon with a t-rex showing it that your bigger and then your t-rex Pwning the bone dragon i think would be pretty daym funny ^.^

Mounts would make the game unbalenced.
Rushing would be so much easier. Imagine just galloping though an area instead of stratigically taking out the mob.

I'm just saying it would be AWESOME to have a tactical nuke that you could pwn mobs with for the hell of it. Don't you think that is awesome? Like running up to an undead army with a tactical nuke and showing it how dead they're gonna be and then your tactical nuke pwning the undead I think it would be pretty damn funny!!

You seem to be somebody around here, so I'll address this to you. I have not played any other MMO's so I'm not quite sure what the hatred is against mounts. What is it about them that ruins the game? I have scanned the forums via the Search function, but it didn't reveal much in the way of specific arguments. I think they could add a lot to the game (definately in an expansion);

Adding horses could add a new class (Cavalry?), or just skills to the Warrior.
If they only move faster using a "horse sprint" skill, they won't get through missions faster.
Add a whole new set of mounted weapons/weapon skills, they'd do less damage if not mounted. Add a whole new set of pole weapons/skills (spears, halbards, etc.) that would do added damage vs. horses or especially mounted horses.
Add new armor sets for horses, because...
"mounted" skills wouldn't work while on foot, and your opponents can target your mount first and deal with you later.
I think it would add quite a bit to figuring out tactics, especially if they had a bigger "footprint" or turning radius.
There are a lot other skills/counter-skills that would flesh out the Class.

They wouldn't show up in town any more then the ranger pets do, that just adds bandwidth to no purpose.
It would take a lot of testing to balance it, but I think it's doable.

Could you take a deep breath and succinctly tell me why you are so against them?

I'd like to see horses. Even give them a special attack only available on mounts. Such as the massive knock down.

Anyone like to ride a dolyak? They don't move any faster, but if I can make them use those massive knockdown

that's all I need.
