Sign for ascended people and crossbows
I think it would be nice if our health bar was gold to show if we had ascended and they should add crossbows for rangers that do more damage but have shorter range.

Is there any benefit or reason for the change in Health Bar Colour?
Crossbows sounds like a good idea, but I haven't played a ranger yet, so don't really know much about them,

You do realize that there are different kind of bows. Shortbows... longbows. Different stats they have yes indeed. No need for crossbows. Although they would add more variety to the weaponry, right about that you are.
About the golden health bar... no use. Sorry It's kind of same than a higher level cap... for people to show off.. and that's just stupid, right?

If there was no need for crossbows they never would have been invented. Why go into battle with a useless weapon after all, let alone all the time spent researching and making it.
From a historical perspective crossbows pack a heavier punch that a bow, and are much more acurate. The cost of that is a slower reload time. Obviously this isn't a realistic game, otherwise reloading a crossbow whilst in heavey combat would be much use. However I don't see why they cannot be incorperated from a practicality stand point. Just offset the weapon's high damage with a longer reload.

I think crossbows would be a good idea, but they should (as Genos stated) require expertise. They are incredibly hard to load on the spot (believe me, I've actually done it) and would (should?) take longer to load with a lower expertise level.
As far as the gold health bar for ascended players, it's useless. It'd just be a way for players to further separate themselves through elitism. You want a reward for ascension? You got it: Instant access to the next chapter.

I would like to see helath bars coloured in relation to health... for example:
green from 70-100%
amber 40-70%
red 0-40% red
and my other bar axe to grind..
ENERGY BARS!
please at least give us any indication on whether its even being considered
P.s: pet armor, you know you want too.

I'm confused by your energy bar comment. I have an energy bar.

Sorry to be a grognard, but:

isn't completely true. A crossbow certainly can pack more punch than most bows, though not necessarily more than a longbow or an advanced composite bow like a Mongol recurve. But. The maximum accuracy of a crossbow is far less than the maximum accuracy of a bow. The big advantage, historically, of the crossbow is that it takes a lot less training to use one at a basic level. To use a bow that hits as hard as a crossbow, you had to train pretty much every day from childhood. Crossbows are point-and-click with a 20 minute "how to reload" familiarisation. Scratch militias could use them, levies that weren't allowed weapons on a day to day basis could use them. Neither of these groups would even be able to draw a 90lb longbow, let alone hit anything with it.
Another advantage they had was that they were available. Nobody except the Welsh knew about the longbow until the days of Edward Longshanks.
If you implemented 'em though, expertise should shorten reload times.

Now now, some of you stop being jealous just because rangers want a weapon that might actually make them useful! XBows are a great idea, Higher the expertise, quicker you reload

But other party members can't see your energy bar. It would be useful for casters, especially healers and blood->energy necros, if you could see allies' energy bars like you can see their health bars.

There should be more separation through elitism, it's what a lot of PvE players play for. If you can add in things that they can show off with without upsetting the balance, then u'd keep both the PvE and the PvP crowd happy.

Don't understand the reason for the energy bar thing. But crossbows would be a nice addition. As far as the firing speed, there could be diffrent speed ratings for crossbows...slow, fast, very fast.

I don't think crossbows would fit, as they are a singularly military innovation. The ranger class as it is presented in the game is a hunter and a woodsman, not a soldier.

Thank you for proving the shallowness of the PvE crowd in a way that I never could.

Well you know while we're at it why not give them our buttons to and just let them play for us. /sarcasm off
I cannot see how a mana bar that someone else can keep tabs of is going to help? it takes all of 1 second to holt the CTRL button and click on your mana bar with the mouse to tell your entire party what your mana levels are.

There is a way to seperate yourself from others in PvE.
Go buy fissure armor.
Don't ask me what it is, search the forums. I'm not gonna tell you.
