Ok, well I am going to assume that the next "major" patch will be *hopefully* include the new areas

Now new areas are great and all, but what I would like to see, is perhaps, an introduction of some new weapon variations

Sure we love our fire-swords, staffs.... and erm maybe the bland truncheon, but with new areas, perhaps Anet would consider adding new variations to these weapons. For instance, a new kind of sword, a different staff, perhaps a cooler modified truncheon

Just an idea, but I think it would make the new areas even more exciting if a new round of weapons was introduced

Thats why they are releasing 2 new areas FOC, through the streaming patch system for people in the next few weeks, without having to purchase an expansion pack.

The areas where actually anounce at E3, as well as on there website and on every other GW related website.
These areas are due soon and will be aimed at acended characters with new quests by the sounds of it.
The next major patch is going to be aimed at PvE, check patch notes release for last week, it doesn't state what, but states it is due soon.
