Back when GW was just released and I first joined the game I made the mistake of creating a character using my secondary's name. I think I was in a hurry to play some PvP and didn't want to use my primary name for a PvP only.

That prooved to be a mistake.

I have since abandoned that name and its now attached to someone elses account.

I am now a guild leader and each time I type a guild-message that name is listed instead of my primary.

ANet, please let us select which one of our characters is Primary for that account, and make sure that the guild's history is updated too.

Its the same account so if my Primary name is different, the guild's history should list my Primary name and not something that is since unused.

Too bad noone cares about the problems this can create in the long run.

It looks like a bug, it smells like a bug, but its an ignored and undocumented *feature* that doesn't generate enough noise to be noticed and fixed...

I know what you mean and I agree it can be quite a problem, hopefully its something Anet will fix.
