Too long to unlock everything? Are you kidding me? Do you realize that it probably put it on an equal footing with PvE? Count the time from Level 1 to Level 20... Then count the time it takes to amass 850k exp (or whatever the EXP cap is for unlocking all skills). Why should PvP get preferential treatment?
Seems to me that a few impatient people don't want to earn the rewards necessary to complete their particular build.

Gez, some people just want everything at the speed of light! The bottom line is if you're not doing very well at PvP, then either you're having bad luck and/or you need to get better at PvP.

This doesn't put it on equal footing. I've gotten 15 skills in the last past three days within RPG mode. In three days I can only get 1 skill. Only way, I can speed it up is if I go to GvG or do TPK, but nobody is going to stop in everything they are doing to help ME get moves from those two places. People who often win GvG and TPK are people who played through RPG mode and got all the moves/items for their character if not the majority of them. A premade wouldn't have a chance in a world no matter how hard they play because they can fight in one way.

This has to do with how good you are at pve. If you are good in PvE, you team or guild has to be good at pvp and when it comes to skills, we are individuals.

I'd say the friends I do Team Arena with are fairly well and can usually get atleast 10 consecutive wins within an hour, meaning atleast a usual 140 faction per hour. If I have none of my pvp-friends on, then I can do competition arena with my monk build which can usually total 10 consecutive wins within an hour depending on my party (Team arenas tend to have a 90% chance of pummeling my competition arena parties). Also with an average of about 140ish faction per hour. If you do some multiplication, you'll see that even with 8 hours of straight winning/playing, you'll have unlocked one awesome skill (Sarcasm on awesome). I don't usually tend to be the one complaining about something, but I do find it rather stupid that at a reasonably steady pace, it'll cost me 8 hours to unlock something that can hardly ever be used.
100 Faction for a regular skill might be overdone a bit, but anything above 250'ish is definetly OVERPRICED.

This is stupid...
Are you and a few other kids "Everybody"? No, of course not.
All those that hate pvp are going to think it's too easy to get, and all those that love pvp are going to want things easier... how about you realize that it's fine the way it is...
It's giving an insentive to play pvp (Not make it the "better" option)... it's suppose to give those that love pvp a little thing to make them "happy".
And i very highly doubt they'll make it any easier... and if anything, maybe a little bit harder to get faction...
Me? I'm stuck inbetween loving pve, and pvp... so i say, puh... pathetic excuses... the way i think about it... if you want easy skills... go play pve... its Very easy to get skills there... but how about unlocking item pieces? That's right... pvp is quicker in unlocking those... And superior runes... sorry to say, but with my "luck" in pve... i havent gotten one, and i play 2-3 hours a day... and have three lvl 20 characters finished with the game... i guarentee you that i'll get it alot quicker through pvp...
So what have they done? They gave a reason to play pve, and pvp... genious if you ask me...
This thread is now done. If you truely think about it.

1) We aren't dogs, this pvp reward isn't a puppy treat. If you read the first update before they added the pvp rewards, they made this so pvp rewards for those who don't through the pve that much can get skills to so they could the keep pvp entertain. A lot of people were bored with the few selectiosn of pvp premade builsd and not a lot people liked the pve so ANet had to do something to keep the players. UNDERSTAND, PvE is no way, and no how, the strong point of this game. It's to keep you entertain, but where ANet makes it's money is in the PvP aspect, whic the majority of the community likes.
2) You think? The moment after the rewards came out the there was an uproar about how the skills were too costly by the majority of the pvp players whom make up the majority of the population so I say yeah, the games PvP rewards are getting changed. It may not happen this upcoming week, but may happen in the following week(s) after. This is not the only forum where this is being argued. I have been two other forums where this is happening also. The PvP rewards WILL change.

You're what? That's right, two words. Incredibly stupid.
1. Who said you were dogs, and what treat? I remember perfectly stating that pve, and pvp is now balanced out (Skills/runes/item unlockables) all have their own "easiest" way of getting attained. Stop talking out of your ass, and read something for once.
2. Of course pvp rewards "will" change, as you so blatantly want, but then again... who cares about you whiny little "Bleep, people"? (yes of course, anet does...), but you know what? You don't pay monthly, and i guarentee that not most of the people playing want a big change in pvp rewards. By this, i'm stating that nobody cares if you quit, you're not making them anymore money by being so whiny (it will cost them more needed time to make these updates --- Yes, these updates do require balance testing first... takes a bit ---)
Things are equalized, as stated, if anything... skill factions prices might lower a little bit, but don't expect much. They're not going to completely screw the pve side of this game (by making pvp the best, and only way to aquire everything), just for some morons such as yourself.

I think most of you dont realize that the problem with the current system for a player who wants to play PVP is that he needs to play through the full game to get to a priest that sells all the abilities. Its important for players who dont like PVE that they have access to the priests without the need of playing through the full game. This goal can be reached by placing the priests in the arena.

imo faction is fine. i wouldn't be PvEing anyway, and i've gotten about 15k faction so far which is enough to make me happy Just the fact that i don't have to go cap elites is enough for me.
