Default under used aspects of gw

okay well I thought people may want to post about what they think is under used. If it is specific to pve or pvp ... it does not belong in this thread ... needs to be beneficial to both ...

for instance ... imo the weapons with crap like (vs. plants) or (vs. giants) etc ... seem very underused. My idea would be something like a hex spell thrown into mes or necro ... or heck RANGER ... to alter humans for x seconds to plant form etc or make them undead for x seconds type idea ... undead a new condition could be knocked off ex. healin does opposite to them ... damage.

they items with amazing stats of pruning just seem under utilized. Anything else anybody has noticed?

These seem like pretty specialized abilities to go with crappy upgrades.

Edit: sorry, the plant and undead aren't specialized that much.

While I agree their are many aspects that are underused, I don't think anything is totally useless, even the vs plants weaps

while I am already lacking inventory space, I've decided to collect different weaps, with different mods, to donate to guild members when they reach a certain point in the game. Such as a bonus vs char, when they leave pre, and the +vs plants, when they enter magumma jungle. And while I hate farming and the like, I know giants are/were quite popular to farm, and so a good + vs giants, could actually sell pretty good to someone who turned farming into a skill.

Necro's however, are underused, hopefully with time and the rotation of tactics, they will get their chance

I agree I've never found that I fought the same type of enemy long enough to bother with a type specific upgrade. I like the spell idea, It'd be funny to turn a warrior into a plant or something...

I would put necros and mesmers up there are underused.

Perhaps, mesmers will begin the long road to appreciation that necros are beginning to trod.

Amen brother! Preach the word to the heathen... that they may see the light, and finally invite mesmers into mission PUG's!

No kidding! LOL! I have had to "sell" my mesmer as a Healer's Assistant to even be -considered- for any mission.

Missions are MUCH easier with mesmers around. With my baby warrior and ranger, I always look for one.

Yeah well... as a Me/N I didn't even have that option. I've been LFG for up to 20 minutes without even a single response.

The most underused thing in the game are the tapestry shed, Gwen's broken flute, and the last trio of post-searing gwen items (forgot name) as they aren't used at all!

I go with 1+ million idiots

There is one build I know of that beastmastery is good for, but you need 16 Beast Mastery and to be a monk for it to work well... so it isn't used very much.

That's because people might not know, that Gwen heals you when she's playing the flute.

I think he is refering to the quest that is currently disabled like the other quests they have been 'introducing' have been. Think about it. The quests are in areas that contain the skills available at the trainer nearby or had been capture only up to that point and they usually are found at a person in teh wilderness or town taht reacts in no way at all when you try to talk to them. As great as teh game is for its start i think some quests were incomplete/bugged and until they got them resolved they just removed them for the time being.

I have even seen in here where someone sent into support and recieved a message saying it was known that gwen's treasure quest was bugged.

I was referring to them in post-searing, where there is no Gwen.
