Firstly, I'd like to say how much I love the Competition Arena. Some people don't like it because it's random and they feel they don't always get a "balanced" team. But that is what I love the most about it. You must learn not only to adapt to your oponent, but to your own team as well. No battle is ever the same as the last and you never know what kind of group you will face next.

My suggestion is to build a Tournament arena with the same ideas. You should be able to earn Fame from this, but not take the Favor of the Gods.

Before you can begin playing, each time you must go through 4 tests SOLO (Think "Wardens" in HoH). After you complete these, you must also go through 2 more with your random group you have aquired. After that, you'd be ready to start earning your fame

Battles would consist of 6 vs 6. The fame system would follow the same rules as the Tombs.

No. I don't want to beat 4 tests to find that I'm in a group without any Monks. I also don't want to have to build my character so he can succeed at both those 4 tests, by himself, and in PvP.

Fame shouldn't be granted from random PvP. The teams could end up like this:

This is an extreme example, but you can see what I'm getting at. Do you think the first team deserves to win fame for beating the second team?

The tests are for a challenge. Why would you get fame in random arenas easier than you would for HoH? It's just an alternative way of getting fame, in much the same way Faction is an alternative for unlocking skills. As long as the option to get fame in a random arena is there, I'm fine with it.

And the point is so that it IS random. If you don't want to do a random arena for fame, you don't have to do it. Some people like random arenas (such as me).

They could just make the tests balanced, and specialised for each profession.
