Enhanced skills, Skill-specific mods and other ideas
-an optional elite "upgrade" for some (all?) non-elite skills. At the cost of a skill point one of a player's non-elite skills may be enhanced to an elite "upgrade" status with, perhaps better recharge time and other characteristics (for example, Echo might be the elite upgrade of Arcane Echo). The elite upgrade can only apply to one of the basic skills at a time - so any other upgraded basic skill will revert to normal when the upgraded status is applied to a different skill. Elite upgrades are only possible for your primary profession.
-Crafted weapon upgrades - perhaps with low level skill of a particular class that is equipable by a different one. Or and upgrade that augments a specific skill or class of skills (only if equipped (?)). - e.g. sword of Judge's Insight (for Mo/W) or Staff of Judgement (augmenting Shield and/or Signet of Judgement). Obviously it will have to be implimented so as not to unbalance or overwhelm other aspects of the game.
-Perhaps a new class of crafter that can make such upgrades - requiring the purchaser to have that skill known (or equipped).
-Macros for skill combos - perhaps new skills that can take advantage of this with some creative thinking - e.g. skills used in parallel and/or in series - e.g. "fire" attack followed by a "cold" attack may inflict damage bonus discovered only through experimentation.
-Hotkey for removing one of your enchants - perhaps as a modifier (e.g. Ctrl or Shift) + skill #. Doubleclicking the little icon is sometimes tough in a pinch and you end up walking away. (so as not to complicate the default layout this might have a default setting of "unassigned")
