Several suggestions to improve the interface
Just a few suggestions that I think would improve the game:
1 - Allow rangers to see the damage their pet does. They are an extention of the ranger's skills, therefore you should see it similar to spell/skill damage. Also seeing how much health pts it has is a plus as well.
2 - When searching for someone in the game to trade with or to add to a party, it would be nice to be able to click on the name in the chat window and have a selection to "go to player" or "locate player". Something that makes it easier to find the person in a group of hundreds of blue names. Maybe show a marker on the map.
3 - The Chat Interface. Absolute crap, needs to be rewritten completely. Seriously, it is the most annoying interface I have seen, especially if you are trying to whisper to multiple folks in the game. And I hate it when you have the window up, but don't have the cursor focus in the window and start typing and a load of windows pop up and fill your screen.
4 - Autoattack!!! Give us an option (that can be turned off) to automatically select the closest enemy and attack after you've killed the one your are working on.
5 -Control of your pet. It would be nice to be able to control the pet a little with some simple mode commands like:
stay - have the animal stay put
protect - have the animal NOT run off when you attack something, but instead hovers near you and protects you from monsters that walk up close range. Then have it attack them.
attack - Just as it is now, the animal just attacks the monsters that you have targeted and will run to intercept them.
6 - In game auction system. Instead of flooding the channels with crap, just make an in game auction system. This makes it better for leisure players to sell their equipment without having to make sure the person is online or keep shouting out they want to sell, etc.

Oh yes the joys of thinking you are typing but actually getting 4 windows popping up instead!

I agree with 1, 2 and 3.
Number 4, you already have a key to select the nearest enemy. I don't remeber the default but i just press # space, # space, # space....simple.
Number 5 and 6 have already been mentioned many times and i'm sure they have been read by Anet.
