Some of the conditions and skills like "Bleeding" add a small cloud of red around the target, which could, arguably, be considered as blood.

While I may not really care what the ESRB thinks, for those who do, this may be a valid concern.

BUT. You can make an argument that "online play" has nothing to with built-in portions of the game (ale, dances, underwear...). "Online Play" only covers material added by the online experience (user interaction, etc.)
|
actually online play would cover the dances and underwear because underwear cannot be changed. People need to equip new armors and can freely take them off .. anet has no control over that. emotes like dancing waving, laughing ... they are for Role Playing ... many older gamers actually like to Role Play too while they play hence the popularity of it. As well it does no harm to other individuals if one decides to dance. Alcohol can be removed ... and replaced with any other sort of name ... so there is a loop hole there. If people would like to believe that anet should take these out, then guess what ... it will come out ... and a new drink will come in ... dwarven water ... same effects.
Really is this seriously causing someone grief? I think it is fine where it is rated ... the real issue is the immaturity of people and the language they use. But this is only because there are so many younger people playing that have yet to mature. (Also some older people but majority rules) ...
Oh and on the comment of Diablo 1 ... there no blood in GW. So it cant be compared to an M game.

I disagree with the OP
The game was designed with the chat filter and there artwork, etc emotes to not do certain stuff. Now some people have become creative but it was not that way by design. That's why they have the disclaimer about the ESRB may changing in game.
Since any mmorph with a chat function and ability to turn of chat filter with two people doing very AO content and potential for the wrong chat line (direct to opps public shout) all mmorph's would have to be flagged as AO but your argument.

I dont really see why u would want it rerated, in my opinion it wont do anything anyway. Im 16 and i walked into Best Buy the day GTA came out and bought it by myself, so its not like these ratings are inforced to any extent.
And about the sexual dancing, have you ever been to a school dance i can tell you for sure my school dances are much worse than some polygons that happen to look like they are doing something innapropiate. *God i love those dances*

That's other players, who are not part of the game. The game itself does not promote rasicm.

*Sigh* I give up. The game is violent, gory, sexual, racist, and quite possibly the spawn of Satan himself. ESRB should ban this game from the face of the planet!

Here's what I think belongs on the label as of now though-
TEEN
Titles rated T (Teen) have content that may be suitable for ages 13 and older. Titles in this category may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood and/or infrequent use of strong language.
Alcohol Reference - Reference to and/or images of alcoholic beverages [Dwarven Ale]
Use of Alcohol - The consumption of alcoholic beverages [Dwarven Ale]
Animated Blood - Discolored and/or unrealistic depictions of blood [For the 'bleeding' condition, which is the only occurrence of blood in-game I know of]
Fantasy Violence - Violent actions of a fantasy nature, involving human or non-human characters in situations easily distinguishable from real life [should be a given]
Suggestive Themes - Mild provocative references or materials [Visible undergarments and jiggling breasts in dances]
Additionally, online games that include user-generated content (e.g., chat, maps, skins) carry the notice "Game Experience May Change During Online Play" to warn consumers that content created by players of the game has not been rated by the ESRB.
Of course, it's just my opinion, but I don't think the amendments to the rated content are off.
As for half of the OP's post, the section in bold does indeed account for anything that players themselves do.
