Default Henchmen response to Minion damage

Right now, if someone in your group gets attacked, the henchmen will all engage the attacker(s). This function works just fine. You don't have to be the first to attack something just to get the henchies rolling, and as long as something attacks them or you, they keep attacking.

However, if you're a death necro, this system doesn't work so well. I generally have an army of minions in different shapes and sizes following me, and they very often gain the bulk of the aggro. However, because I'm focused on raising minions or healing the ones I have, I usually don't target enemies.

That means that once the henchies kill the only enemies that gave them any attention, they actually leave combat, and just stand there while my minions take a beating. That means that I have to stop whatever I'm doing and attack enemy after enemy so the henchmen will actually participate.

It's really just an inconvenience, but would it be so hard to make henchmen respond to minion damage as they would direct allies?

Interesting, I wasnt aware of this issue.

Basically your asking that NPC party members also assist with Allies/Pets. It definately makes sense that they should.

This isnt really in petition form, but...

I haven't come across this yet.. but it's definately something that should be done as well. I've noticed that henchies will attack anything that attacks me or one of them which is definately a good thing most of the time. However they should also treat pets/minion's the same way since they are part of the group after all (even if minion's would be a smelly part... hmm maybe thats why they aren't helping... they want the smelly minions gone? )

Actually, I think they will attack anything that attacks a ranger's pet as well. Next time I'm on as my ranger I'll try and see if I can get something to attack my pet 1st and see if henchies respond. But I'm sure I've seen them attack something that had attacked my pet only b4...

effective monks will heal pets and minions since they are as much a useful part of the party as players... perhaps this kind of attention could be extended to the monk NPCs also (with however a priority list, and a cut off point so that a time-limited minion with only about 1 hit or 20 seconds left doesn't get healed)
