A mod alowing u to be higher then level 20
I say make a mod alowing you to be over level 20. I think it would be pretty awsome to be alowed to go above level 20 like to level 35. I think that would please many people no?

wow.. you really like making topics dont you?.. this like the 10th in 5 minutes
this has been talking about just about as much as it could, and i think its best to keep it at 20... why? because 20 is good enough, higher levels would me more people would grind and say "this game is boring"... to wrap things up, i like being lvl 20, it may be a low number, but its a high number in my heart... ok ya that was sad.. i couldnt think of anything
anyways no 20 is fine

it would please u to be able to grind further to lvl 35? for what?
adding lvls, would obviously add atribute points mean stats would be really messed
even if u wanted to keep the atriibute points at 200 u would have to redistrubute them, making much weaker at lower lvls
this mean they would have to reset lvls/stength of every monster in the game. including throwing in monsters ~lvl 40 so there will actually be a challenge
so, i dissagree

Before you create any more topics on the board, while I'm hardly in a position of authority, I highly suggest you go through all of the Fansite Fridays from day 1, and the answer to this will become pretty clear.
Afterwards, if your idea/question/comment isn't addressed, run a search. If you had done so, you'd have found this topic is repeated again, and again, and again.
On a side not, since this is going to sink into obscurity, and/or be closed due to being a redundant topic, your lack of actual thought and care into your suggestions shows clearly.
Starting a sentence, and the topic itself, with lol, 2 uses of the word 'like' in a single sentence, a third in the following sentence, intermittent use of the words, "Thing" and "Something" when you can't think of the word for what you want, seemingly random extra capitalization choices, misspellings scattered throughout the topics, 7 threads on the front page of this forum in 1-2 hours. [Edit- Refers to the 7 threads in general, not this one specifically]
While any single one of those might seem like mere nitpicking, I think if you'll re-read through your suggestions, you'll find it shows very much just how little you care.

its lvl 20 for balance. you make it any higher and you get more attribute points which will throw the game out of balance. you think the spike teams are bad now imagine if they had more attribute points to use. be glad its at lvl 20 and not higher.

You have got to be joking. A mod of that caliber would distort the whole game. It would almost be a hack. To be able to do something like that would be unfair. And mods are simply modifications not complete overhauls.

Actually I think raising the level cap to any level higher would make the PVE experience alot more funner. Currently I only play this game for its PVP value, as pve is really redundant and pointless once you have unlocked the skills you need for pvp. You get to maximum level somewhere around midgame, and for the rest of the game you just go around collecting skills. Sure if the story were better, it might be a motivation to play all the quests and missions, but lets face it, this isnt squareenix. What an online rpg really needs for the PVE players is more levels. Most players play pve in order to have that great feeling of leveling up. Granted, this may unbalance characters, but whos to say that characters in pve are balanced? Warriors are a highly popular and effective profession, and other players just dont realize the effectiveness of mesmers or necromancers, simply because of their subtlety. Another strong point I can make is that the expansion will be arriving soon. To be honest I am expecting a level cap raise for the expansion, because it just wont be popular if players start the expansion at level 20, and end it at level 20. The game just would not sell, its like an rpg without the leveling. Also, would raising the cap truly have an impact on pvp? If classes are balanced at level 20, why would they not be balanced at level say 40? or 99? Somebody mentioned that air spikers would have far too many attributes, yet you seem to forget that whoever you are spiking will also have about 5x more life. So if you compare the stats and attributes level by level, I think players will find that even at higher levels, as long as other players are the same level as you are, the pvp aspect will still be balanced. Everybody gets the same amount of attributes right?
However, as I said above, I am more then happy with the pvp aspect, it is extremely balanced, and very exciting.

i dislike it when i level up, but the standard mob does also. so you can actually SEE that darn treadmill. you do 5x more damage, but the mob has 5x more armor and health, and lives exactly as long as it did at level 3 with you being level 3. thats pointless.
leave me at 20 and let the monsters rise in level.
thats more fun than anything else.
i never thought id say that.

I came across something weird the other day. we were down in the underworld and had been down there for a long time... Well some of our group had to leave so they logged out of the game. which was OK cause basically we were done down there that trip. However, the interesting thing was what it said when they disconnected...
I'm wondering if that is their TRUE level based on exp at disconnect...

Why not? People grind for days after level 20 anyway for better armour or skill points may as well let them get some levels on the way to make it slightly more entertaining...

The topic has been covered numerous times on our forums. There is a firm level cap set at 20. ArenaNet is aware that some people will always want more levels. The ball is in their court.
