Yes, exactly as the above title implies. Now, I can and did use the search functin and nothing came up with the idea of Blocking Lornar's Pass, just how people hated Droknor's Runners.

Well I for one am fed up with Droknor's Runners. I already knew about the problem as I see several level 8s in Droknar's. But I never realised it was getting out of hand, I helped a friend with the Frost Gate mission and as soon as we entered Beacon's Perch my chat is spammed with 'LOOKING FOR GROUP TO RUN TO DROKNOR'S' I mean honestly, why buy the game if you are going to skip half of it?

My point is, I believe Lornar's Pass should be blocked off from people who haven't Ascended. This is so that people who want better armor fast will have to play the game through to get a reward. Through hard work and deterimination one recognises value. Those who want to run to 'pwn' in the Ascolon Arena, come to the Team Arenas/Tomb of Primeval Kings and you can play real PvP.

The only reason people would want to fight (key word fight) their way through Lornar's is that they have completed the game or are bored and seeking a challenge. Go with friends and fight the way to Droknor's honestly after ascension not because you paid someone 2 platinum so you could say you are '1337' to your friends in Pre-Searing.

If it's your 4th character and you want to skip half of the game and you think that by being your 4th character it's acceptable, go somewhere else, I couldn't care less if it was your 1000th character, people will see you doing this and say 'I wanna be 1337 too'.

If you want to flame me, go ahead, just not on this thread.

Using Droknar's armor in lower arenas...wrong.
Rushing through the game after you just bought it so that you don't know what you're doing and end up ruining later mission PUGs...wrong.

Rushing because you enjoy the later missions better and also do not interfere with anyone elses gameplay...not wrong. There is no one way to play a game. The arena problem needs to be fixed but imposing your gaming style on others is not a fix.

Yeah, I've completely beaten the game with my ele, went through all the missions which took me a long time since this is my first you know.. rpg game thing. I thought it was very hard. So when I made my war I just ran him to droknars, got the droknars armor. Then went back through the game and it made it a whole lot easier. I've never been into arenas so I never ever went to go "bash noobs" in them. I just play PvE to experience the fun of it. So basically, when I had my ele and didn't have droknars armor, I struggled badly through the whole game. So I got my war droknars, and made things a little easier.

The only problem with running is people abusing this by taking good stuff into the low level arenas. Therefore, all that needs fixing is the specs for competing in the low level arenas. Running in all forms is great for me and others who dont like the pve and just want to unlock skills fast than faction through pve. Does it matter to you if we stand in your lvl 20 town? or does the 8 grind across your nerves

Personally it doesn't bother me that people want to rush the Droknors. It doesn't affect anyone elses game in the slightest. I've been to Droknors about 2 times to do some quests and to travel to Kryta. It's not like it's a major location where you go there often, so not many people give two sh^ts about the message spamming of people wanting to go there. As for the advantage that they will have in the Arenas? Big whoop. They will only have that advantage in the Shiverpeaks Arena where you have to be lvl 15 or below. The next areana is full of lvl 20's anyway where the majority of them have the highest armour level anyway.

I'm not flamming anyone here so I appologise if it seems that way. But I don't want to remove something that people like doing, that doesn't really affect or bother anyone else.

I really think it's dumb for people who have completed the game numerous times to not be allowed to twink their character by getting droknars/15k armors on at a low lvl. Going through all the missions again is boring enough. Why not have an edge to make it easier on yourself while working through these boring missions?

I am not pro running but i am against ppl that seem to want to dictate the way other ppl should play or enjoy the game.

It ranges from ppl wanting to do everything and unlocking every little spot on the map to ppl that just want an "unlock all" button and jump straight into PvP.

There is a whole range of shades between those to opposites and i respect them all EXCEPT for one thing.

The point where you interfere in the enjoyment of others in a negative way by your playing style .

Going into the low level arena's is one thing that enters my mind here.

Also continuing to spoil PUG's after realizing you bit off more than you can chew by skipping part of the game. Note the word continuing ... i can tolerate one or two mistakes but after that you should have learned you are in over your head and take a step back.

For me it's not the overpowered characters in low level arena's that bug me ... it's the mindset of the ppl that do it.

I see this happen IRL too. I sometimes enter in dancing competitions in an amateur league. Sometimes i see ppl from the professional league enter the same competitons as i do. I always wonder what is is that makes them jump for joy and pride when they win .... so obviously outclassing all the other contenders.
It's like Michael Shumacher outracing the kid next door.

To stay in the IRL analogy. A lot of amateurs are no longer entering into competions because of the fact that professional dancers are allowed to enter as well.

There are many threads about forge runners.
They are not affecting your own gameplay.
You are the one who's trying impose your play style.

If the designers of this game did NOT want anyone to rush to Droknar's Forge then they would not have made the pass open to all.

I as many have stated played the game with my first character all the way through. Now that I am on my second character, to heck with that...I want better armor. It is only Monk armor. Still could be better in my opinion. I have to put up with my whimpy Wands/Staffs as it is.

I did it and then went back to finishing the game in "order". I have thought about getting it Infused, however, I have not taken the time yet.

There are more important problems with this game. First of all, Fix the Rude little brats that keep grieving us. Allot of them are Adult Brats too. Fix the Lags as well.

I believe they Fixed the Armor levels in the Arenas...I do not know for sure because I have hardly ever been in them.

I feel that either blocking droks or just implimenting an armor level requirement would fix the arenas and everything else.

Note:
By using a level requirement, those that rush for skills would be unaffected.

And no I'm not stating this idea for my own selfish gain. No I did not start this thread becasue I want to dictate the way people play, I started this thread because I know that there are alot of people out there in the game who are fed up with these runners. I didn't ask you people to kick up a fuss I wanted to see if the idea was supported by the majority. If you don't want to sign just say /not signed or something like that, don't accuse me of being a selfish bastard because I have an idea that I would like to see implicated. If you agree then you agree, if you don't thats your decision so you don't see me flaming you because of what you think so I don't expect you to flame me for what I think.

Lornars was designed for unascended players. If you're bothered by people with Droknars armour in Shiverpeaks and Ascalon arenas try playing in the LA, Droknar arenas or in the tombs. The places that actually have balanced and fair arenas. The low-level arenas are not meant to be balanced tests of skills they're meant to be practice for the real thing. And if it's not about that well then why are you trying to dictate how people should play their game? You won't see me going round with a petition to ban roleplayers just because I don't do it. I let them play the game they want to and I play the game I want to.

BTW If you don't want negative replies don't post a petition. This is a discussion forum, you put up an idea and everyone discuses it. If you're so fed up with runners then say so but not everyone else agrees and they can say so too.

We need constructive discussion, not petitions to backup sterile ideas.
Your suggestion of blocking LP has been heard.
Pros and cons are well known and a simple search can give more details.
Now let's move on a thread that adds something to the game instead of fixing a problem that doesn't exist.
