One of the best counters that could be used is a mesmer skill. They are the masters of counter after all, aren't they? I say keep the stealth skills as skills, not enchantments, and leave only rogues, mesmers and possibly necros with a way of seeing them. An elite skill for hiding would be something like "Hide in Plain Sight". For those of you who don't recogonise where it's from, it's part of Dungeons and Dragons prestige class called a shadow dancer......easy way to counter that targeting thing as well......
EDIT: sorry if my post structure doesn't make sense..i just put ideas as they came ot me.

ok i think that the primery attribute is great for the melee class we need in the future
faster damage but less damage is cool en the evade skill is good to
we all know there are a lot of casters so a babarian thief hell even a ninja i dont care how you call it is going to need a prime attribute and both option are great but thats just my point of vieuw

Yeah... on that note, what do you guys think of the primary attribute? Increased movement speed or dodging rate? Is 1% per point enough? Any Agility skills?

my personal gess if you want a balanced class dodge
but combo speed increase ro/mes with ilusion damage or ro/el with conjure lightning
or a vam upgrade on a knife etc etc
so speed increase is powerfull and use full you have a better damage dealer for tanking mmm we have warrior so my gess take increase in speed
and on a side note i like the idier of a melee damage dealer with less armour and lets say 3 energie regen this would be ideal i gess more damage less armour and a bit more energie
the rest of the skills is .... no coment i dont really care i thing you need to look at the bigger picture what is that class going to do what is his role
i see it as een low armor melee dammage dealer
and thus i go for increase movment because you can COMBO with it
1 % enough ?? i think so 15 % more damage is good enough for me

Actually, I meant that you move 1% faster. Like, running around. Not attacking. However, increasing attack speed could work too, although they couldn't attack too fast, or else Vampiric upgrades, damage boosters, and other stuff could get out of hand.
Right, I see the Rogue as a melee class that can't tank or dish out raw damage like Warriors, but is fast, has a lot of supporting abilities, and has some strong conditions/Hexes. They'd be sort of like a melee version of a Necro-- not the basis of a team, but there to help out, screw up enemies, etc.

well if rogues are put in, then maybe they should only be able to attack in run bys and only use skills to attack. that would be cool to see a rogue running back and forth across a warrior stabbing at him while hte warrior cant catch up to do any damage

i like it... i was kinda unhappy about the lack of a rogue in the first place. i love melee... but warriors are kinda far too simple in this game. having a rogue/assisin type character would be sweet... granted most of those skills probably wouldn't be used... but you guys gotta respect the idea.

i want a rogue but this trapping stuff no
the rangers have traps and its clear they will remain with them, having a character totaly devoted to removing these traps is USELESS and totally wasteful
There are so many things a rogue can be, and if they are in chapter two, i for one cannot wait to see what anet comes up with, i will be immensly happy though

^What the hell? Pay attention. 4/75 skills does not equal "totally devoted to removing traps". Where does everybody get that from? That's like saying elementalists are a class totally devoted to Wards.
Anyway, what are the options for dealing with traps now?
a) Go around-- inapplicable if it's in a choke point
b) Charge on through
c) Sit there and hope the Ranger doesn't set it again
Okay, unless you're a Warrior that's kind of simplifying it, but you get the point.

As someone previously stated, this idea would be pretty bad since the PvE enviroment has little use for a stealth character. Also "Rouge" type characters in most MMOs either are blatanly overpowered damage dealers , or completely useless one trick ponies.
/bad BAD idea

Some ideas? You should add this to an application to the development team You'd probably make it! I really like this kind of creativity, and I would love to play this kind of character, even though I think the anti-traps are very enemy-related and not a really secure attribute to wager your points on.. But still, very very nice!
