Hmm, either he meant within "this" week, which would basically leave one day... or he meant within the "next" week. Either way, I'm so excited at the prospects of the update coming soon!
I like how there's this mysterious, random way that the dev's (or whomever) can inject information into the game.

Well so much for Anets statement of "We are not against Legitimate Farming of areas"
I mean why have +anything runes or items? Why work towards inovative builds?...I mane if they go this rout and with the wonderful fire sale they had last week, then Anet can be seen as protecting High powered guilds and their early players that cleaned up early and now are activly working to control the game thru the economy and materials.
Figures, it was too good of a game to last in the long run.

Gasp, this means that the real monks will be back! Yay, no more having to ask people if they are 105/55 just coming to glorify in UW or FoW (mainly dieing quickly in FoW). Also last I checked farming isn;t the same as being inivicble in any non enchantment removal area... dunno I could just be biased... anyway you can still farm. Every class can farm, it just won't be so easy and painless. :P

They could very easily add a lowish level necromancer suicide bunny to areas farmed by the 55/105 invincimonks, give it this skill http://www.guildwarsguru.com/skill/2...d-enchantments and call it done.
You'd see a lot less invincimonk soloists.

You'd also see ALOT less fun. They have used disenchants to nerf most areas and it takes away the fun from the regular PVE as you rarely get to use all the cool enchantments you get. A large portion of a spellcaster's skillset is devoted to enchantments. I surely hope their nerf is to prot bond and not to the areas.

I doubt they can mean the 55/105 builds...because anyone who thinks those are invincible are loonies. Seriously.

I SERIOUSLY hope they don't nerf the farming monks. Why?
Because it's the only viable way for PVE players to unlock runes from farming certain areas.
Before I started seriously farming, I had never seen a superior vigor or absorption rune. After hundreds of hours of "normal" play, ascending multiple characters, I had only seen ONE drop in all of the parties I had been in. PVP players can unlock one in a few hours.
In normal play, chances of getting anything worthwhile is very slim. At least with farming, if you've managed to get the correct runes and skills, you can have a much better chance of getting those items unlocked - that would otherwise be nearly impossible to get otherwise.
Nerfing farming, or the 105 monk is stupid. It hurts NO ONE, and just is getting called for a nerf because some people can't STAND the thought of someone being able to do something "cheap". Waaaahhhhhh.

I haven't used this build for a few weeks since I was able to get my fissure armor. I personally don't see harm in this given there aren't really that many areas to use this build effectively, imo. The only way I would agree with the decsion to correct this issue is if some of the talk I hear about the lvl 17 cast being a bug is true. I read that it shouldn't get down to requiring only 1 energy until a lvl 19 cast but I havent really done the math yet myself. The dev's little hints might not even be aimed at the 105 build. There's some speculation it refers to spirit build's also.

Prehaps they'll indirectly nerf the 105/55 builds. Prehaps they'll just add some enemies that can poison and disease. Maybe a few enemies that can cast Life Siphon/Transfer. I've heard too much life degen ruins those monks.

another slant could be that changes will be made and what is known will change and have to be relearned.
UAS was flatly rejected by the company

Whether it is enchantment removal, or changing prot bond, or is not going to effect the 105/55 monks at all, any change makes me happy!
If it is the monk build...
I suppose the easiest fix would be to, say, make prot bond cost 2 even at 17 protection prayers. I admit that I am no guru about this monk build, though I have successfuly used it (and I must say, while interisting, it was not that enjoyable. Of course, farming has never been my thing), but I think without the energy gain you will have trouble surviving.
And of course, I am a fan of enchantment removal. Makes a nice challenge.
