Water
Ok umm this is just a suggestion since the Support team suggested i asked here. The original suggestion is....
Why not have an ability that all characters have like swimming? Lets say there is an atlantic city like Atlantis. Now lets say that you need to go into water and swim there right? But you cant because you cant hold your breath long enough. So buy potions that give you breathing for 1 hour up to 5 hours. My suggestion is you can swim to places underwater and fight. If you want, get adapted to water and be able to develop your abilities of underwater breathing depending on how much you swim. I think its a great idea and maybe even have a city look like atlantis that even has an arena where players can swim and fight underwater. So plzzzz!!! I beg you please consider this as this will open the idea of bieng able to swim to islands! Sry for saying it so many times! But sum ppl just dont listen its just an idea that the [email protected] told me! BTW i wont be on for 2 months or maybe less cuz my computer broke and i g2g make cash and buy new 1. Email me [email protected]!
READ THIS IF U HAVE READ THE ABOVE AND THINK ITS A BAD IDEA!
GUYS!!! U dont get it! It was an idea about Potions. Because there is an island on the map i wondered if u could swim there. First of all if u dont like pots, u dont have to have them. I hate pots more then anything. ANYTHING! Basic idea summery:
An item or a piece of equipment that lets someone swim under water for longer periods of time instead of holding breath which expires lets say a minute. Able to swim under water to retrieve sumthing as he said and bieng able to get new items in the Atlantic City. Air Elementalists i think should have an ability to WALK or FLOAT on water. Fire elementalists i think should be able to use rocks or sumtin to transport if there is no choice of going in water. All im saying is: Get an item that lets you go under water for a while and battle underwater and get stuff money wat ever. ok????? im not saying anything about pots!

Not bad, might add a bit more versatility and challenge. However, I think it would take a LOT of time and effort to add something like this.

like you have to battle some water creatures like merrow(sea ogre), skales and sahuagins. (battle underwater)
mission underwater. you have to go to an underwater cave to retrieve/destroy something or kill someone.

Six Hydromancers needed for water group!
Pyromancers need not apply!
Rangers need not apply! (Imagine the effectiveness of a bow underwater... or a pet that didn't get the potion.)
[Insert BAD IDEA stamp here]

U still dont get it! Its not a bad idea what u need is just arrows that fly through water or a pyromancer that still can work in water is possible. I mean i dont see y not its not like fire rocks dont work in water. Real life volcanos work in water u know! Rangers just put sum stuff on their arrows making em go through water or have an item that converts same arrows same number into working in water. Oh well bad idea it was of even bringing it up. In darkageofcamelot.com if u look in Trials of atlantis arrows and fire and all that stuff works in water. But u guys think its a bad idea so let it be "bad" and never spoken of again!

Volcanoes erupt underwater, the lava cools almost instantly. Fire requires oxygen, insufficient in water, plus water removes the heat putting out the fire.
Pets will drown.
So should this thread.

Heh thats not a bad idea, it may get a little lagging though. I'd love to see my minions swimming after mobs. But maybe instead of potions, there can be a quest that gives you the ability to breathe underwater.

well im not sure about the diving part, sounds kinda weird...
i guess the main reason they dont have swimming is because of warrior armor.. i more than likely do not have to explain this...
swiming on top of water would be nice, but its not needed...

I think you got a good idea here that could add a interesting twist to the game. EQ has swiming...their system works on gaining points. Basically the more you swim the faster you go. Similar to the potions idea. (let's hear the comment from one you idiots that I should go play EQ... )
Also, since you're new here i'll give you my wise knowledge so you may become well prepared for some of these "drama queens" that like to hang out here.
1. Most of these kids aren't open to new ideas, they resist change like it's a plague. (I don't know why, they just are.)
2. There be times when someone will start an arguement over a suggestion even though they're wrong and they don't know what they're talking about.
3. Don't post you're email address. If they want to comment/argue on it they will.
4. Lastly don't get discouraged.

How about, instead of potions and skills, there be an area underwater that is surrounded by a magical barrier that keeps the water out. New enemies, bosses, and possibly towns, NPC races, etc. could be added to make it feel GuildWars-esque. The barrier that keeps the water out and air in could either block players or be a type of environmental damage effect like lava, poison marshes, and ice.
I'd much rather it be something of its own, area-wise, and not something based off item access.

Umm i forgot to say that u can equip the pets with the item letting them to breathe as well. Infact there is a meter that says how many hours left. I just think if i put it right it might work. Like fire does work but you require an oxygen bubble that you can buy. So when you cast you are able to make fire in water instead of steam and heat. Think of a fire ball having a bubble around it! That be kinda cool id think. I just wish there were underwater cities!

YEAH! Spartan! Thats wat i wanted to say! But to get there....u have to swim! Oh and idea about warrior armour...i think warriors can go ok with their armour if they have rust protection or maybe their armour cant rust. I think that any1 who weighs allot should be able to travel by water as it lifts you up and makes you faster. Maybe swimming is slow but its easier!

An underwater mission... it sounds good for about 2 seconds until you realize: "Oh crap, I'm a human." This would take away a great sense of realism and leave us with a plagued afterthought of what we had just done. Fighting underwater is just not feasable. Armor would be too heavy, buoyancy would be hard to work out, and combat would make no sense whatsoever. If you were able to attack at normal speed underwater... then why are you attacking so slow above it?
Granted, this is technically a fantasy world, but it doesn't need to have some underwater level where all the physics of life are thrown out the window. If this level were instituted, it should be meant more as a joke, whereafter we learn how badass Jaws really is.
My oppinion? Flat out no, hands down.
