Two elite skills for the price of one
Would it be that bad, if you allowed only one elite skill from your primary professional and only one elite skill from your secondary profession, instead of just limiting one elite skill altogether?

So, you don't think Thunderclap + Marksman's Wager or Martyr + Melandru's Resiliance would be overpowered? Oh wait, it is. That's why MW was made elite half way through beta and the Shock Sniper (retired PvP build) was handicapped for a few events because they had 6 skills + 2 elites.

Too many combinations that would just dominate the battlefield. If you really want to run combinations that use dual elite skills, thats what arcane mimicry is for. In my team's winter/conflang build our oath shot guy runs mimicry to spam GC.
We've also experimented with a R/Me running Melandru's Resiliance and mimic'n Martyr from a monk, still trying to come up with a use for all the energy regen. |

many dual elite combos could be made such as the martyr/plague signet or the hundred blades illusionary wep, or fevered dreams/poison arrow, wither/panic/malaise/ether lord spellcaster disabler.
