Another melee class to make u happy
BRAWLER
i thought of this and its basically a fist fighter, however to enforce the no weapon=no attack i made it wear gauntlets (they come in pairs for 2 handed)
not exactly sure ont he max dmg for these though considering that it would hit quite quickly but here are the attributes
Endurance(primary attribute)-Endurance increases your max health (kinda like energy storage)
Chi- increases the effectiveness of skills that use chi to increase the strength of your attack or to decrease the damage done to you
Martial Arts- increases the effectiveness of skills that involve using stances and other skilsl to increase the effectiveness of your attack and to disable the enemy (for example strong blow to the leg for crippling)
Brawling- increases the effectiveness of skills that involve doing large amounts of damage to the foe and disabling him (like wrestling kind of for example knockdown crippling etc)
here are few skills (yah brawlers use adrenaline 2)
Topple
Cost: 5 adrenaline (im not good with adrenal skills so i dunno how much is too little )
Brawling attack. Knockdown target foe for 3...7 seconds
(attrib brawling)
Tiger Stance
cost:10
recharge time:30
Stance. for 10-20 seconds your attacks do +1...5 more damage
and have 5% armor penetration (if the armor penetration doesnt work then make it 1 to 10 damage)
(attrib: martial arts)
Chi punch
Cost: 5
recharge 10
attack skill: hit target for for 10...24 more damage
(attrib chi)
thats all i can think of any help would be appreciated cause i dont know much about melee class skils

as much as i love to hear new ideas, i dont think this is really suggestions, just a way to express creativity. as for new classes, if a new melee fighter must be added, i would add some kind of a rogue. not with over powered critical strike skills(i.e. backstab, perforate artery, etc) but instead, uses sword weapons & thrusting weps(i.e. daggers, foils, etc etc) and maybe some stealing tricks or nice little hex's, money stealing from mobs, & debuffs. that type of stuff.

We allready have that Berserker Class... its called Wa/Mo and typically rushes into battle the very first second only to fight until death and die with a lot of curses and anger.
What about a Shapeshifter or a Mimicry? ^^

Jump on target foe. You have a 10% chance to kill the target, otherwise they kill you.
Sometimes I wish all warriors had this.

W/Mo isn't a berserker, most likely it is a melee/support.
W/R, now that is more like a berserker. endurance, dodge, and all speed enhancing skilz

As long as there's no stealth... I have played DAoC, a game where stealth is greatly implemented, and WoW, where it's still a little faulty; GW is NOT a game where stealth would be good...
meh.

So you're saying that suggestions are bad when they're creative...? Most of the suggestions here AREN'T creative and I'm glad this one actually had some thought put into it.
as for new classes, if a new melee fighter must be added, i would add some kind of a rogue.
We only have one type of melee fighter, the warrior. Mesmers already have rogue armour, it'd be like making warrior armour for an elementalist. It's already implemented.
not with over powered critical strike skills(i.e. backstab, perforate artery, etc) but instead, uses sword weapons & thrusting weps(i.e. daggers, foils, etc etc) and maybe some stealing tricks or nice little hex's, money stealing from mobs, & debuffs.
I thought that was what Kyten was trying to put in. It would hit faster, not harder, similar to what you're saying.
that type of stuff.
The stuff dreams are made of when you've been knocked unconcious by your own foot type of stuff you mean? Ok...

Yes, and lets release this offensive skill to small children. Kamakazis were suicide piolots who killed themselves to kill others in WWI. That's like suggesting a skill such as "Genocide" or "Haulocaust."

Kai, dont forget that the kamakazi is actually older than WW2.
they just recycled it, slapped them into a plane and pointed them at the enemy.
i think, if i remember rightly, they took a much older tradition, similar time ad place to the samuri, and adapted it to the situation.
as to rogue. lets call them what they are....Thief.
thats one thing that winds me up, specialy in DnD. most of these rogues are just gentlemen thiefs.sure, they dress fancy and have rules, but at their core, they are still a thief.
DnD ect has changed the tearm, cause people dont like it.
i had a rogue on NwN, and i called her Dureena Nafeel. she was a thief, and damn proud of it.
need someone to sneak around, she could. need a lock picked, there wasnt a lock in the know world she couldnt pick nor a jailcell that could hold her, all the jails knew this. want to get into somewhere, go around, go under, go through...she was the girl for the job.
so, mesmer outfits are called rogue stuff? so what.
add a thief class. make some chests locked, so you need a thief with lockpicking skill.
add doors, too, that need picking. add some misions that need real stealth, not just pretending to be stealthy till you have the item, then avoiding the troops till you get away.
and theres nothign wrong with Brawler. otherwise, wheres Little Thom geting the job?
(yeah, i know, he is just a fighter with an axe rather than a sword, and they wanted to call him somehting other than fighter so you could take both him and Stefan)
or, change it to barbarian ^^ then loads of macho guys get a proper excuse to run about in their undies ^^ showing off their chest and flexing their muscles.
they could all have tats on their chests, and little loincloths and boots and gauntlets fro armour....how many people would dump thier warior monks for barbarian monks, hmmm?
(specialy if they had a chest thumping, gorrila like dance ^^ hhehe)

I like melee classes and this one sounds interesting; some of the skills are really overpowered but it doesn't matter because this is just your idea. I would love to have a fighter with more finesse.
