rank 6+ tombs districts
I REALLY think that there should be rank 6+ districts and maybe even rank 3+ districts for pvp , specifically Tombs . We used the the international districts before but now as you can see these are being spammed also. We need a place to gather and make groups of experianced players.

And maybe even take out PVPers and only allow PVErs to do tombs again.

YES! Lets exclude people who may be really good but just have not had a lot of playing time in. That way, they can NEVER get any teammates with rank 6+ unless they have a guild. So they are trapped in rank 5- hell for as long as possible. That would make PvP fun!

Then eventually the rank 6's will quit gw and because you dont like anyone that isnt rank 3/6, they will never tomb and your left with a bunch of people that wernt allowed to tomb.

I agree with Zfactor. Individual skill is a contributing factor to teamwork, but you can't simply throw the best skilled players into one group and expect them to suddenly become the perfect team. That also suggests PUGs are the worst groups around, and from my experience, that seems true.
Leave tombs as is.

Having a district only for rank 3+ or 6+ is elitist, discriminative and a whole range of other things... and that's only scratching the ethics/morality aspect of it.
However I am pretty sure that it would be much simpler and less discriminative to have your rank displayed in tombs, just like you have your class floating above your head.
Also ppl need to stop obsessing over rank. I had 3 fame before this weekend and even that was awfull hard to get over tens of disaster matches with PUGS. But I lucked out this weekend and after a lot of begging and skill and build talk was accepted into a TEAM and won 40+ fame with them. I was rank ZERO but that didn't mean I did not know what i was doing.
I understand the fact that rank is a decent indication of a player's experience, however lack of rank is not an indication of lack of skill.

I thought I was good. I doubled my fame! I went from my 2 fame to 4 fame. I really like HoH but I can never get together a good team. Partly I'm not in a guild, partly because I have no idea how to work well with 8 players against 8 players... er actually guild and that go hand in hand I suppose... but still... I'm a skilled shutdown mesmer gosh darn it from my experience in Comp Arenas.

Rank really is a rather poor indication of skill level. In fact, people who make rank a part of their messages are less likely to be good players. Any decent player, no matter what rank they are, will want to know the skillsets of his or her teammates, along with the team build, instead of blindly going by rank.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. The only reason i made that much fame was the fact that I was in a TEAM, not a group. Most ppl in tombs are either brushing u off because you don't even have rank 3 or asking you if you have backfire. Seriously, i was asked by one guy who was asking for serious players and all that if i had Backfire.
As for working with a group, the most important thing is to luck out with a pug of non-leavers. I once got into a tombs pug and we were all killed on our first go in.. by the unworthy if you can imagine... I was laughing so hard. But only one of them left and we talked and on our next go we went in with 4% morale boost and almost won and from then on it just got better and better usually wining 2 consecutive, unless we went up against spike groups which always took us out.

Lack of rank does not imply lack of skill, i totally agree.
However, getting to rank 3 with one shot wins takes a very long time, during the course of which you have to be in a coma not to learn a lot of things about PvP.
Getting to rank 3 with consecutive wins is faster, but highly unlikely unless you play as a team.
In the end, i hate to admit it but rank is a fair indication that the person who has it does know what they're doing.

The problem is, that its nearly impossible to find a decent 3 - Rank group... The most wins most 3- pug groups can get is one or two...
One solution would be to have high ranked players/guilds offering to help lower ranked players learn builds, how to succesfully work as a team and even teach them how to get on TEAMSPEAK!!! I myself have a rank 3 necro, which was a extremely arduous task in raising my rank..
Another solution could be earning more rank for beating higher ranked teams and less for beating lower rank teams.
ie. a team with all rank 6 players, loses to a team who average rank 2 should earn one or two extra fame.
just my opinion =)

Rank is an indicator of play experience. In earning rank 3 you hope that they learned something along the way. Then you play with them and realize their head must be filled with the most dense material known to man as they have learned absolutely nothing.
The truth is I have found talking to players vastly more efficient than filtering by rank.
The other problem with ranked districts is where do you make the cutoff points? Why should those "uber-leet" rank 9s have to put up with the "nub" rank 6 players? You will ultimately end up with an overly stratified orgainization of tombs. Far easier to just only accept rank 6 players into your group if you only want to play with rank 6.

its skill based give peopel a chance
they dont get good groups alot...then ur better off in international still as rank 3-9 people are there just let them do /rank
