Default GWs First Impressions!

when i first played the game, i was stunned. i choose warrior cuz i love swords.

i went over to near Across the Wall, & saw this guy running fast. he looked to be a dwarf with a firebrand. OMG! i hope he doesnt see me! he's running so fast!
i try to hit him with my hammer, but i'm too slow. i wish i had that firebrand! it glows with fiery energy!

but now that i beat the game many times over, i'm looking for new things to do like
*help noobs
*do ascension misions again
*experiment with diferent classes
*spending a lot of time in pre-sear, starting new chars, helping others

*i'm gettin upset postin in sugestion forum & anet not implementing

Well... the suggestion forum is just that, a place for suggestions. It isn't a queue that ties directly into ANet and dictates the changes they are going to make. Quite frankly, ANet is much better than most developers when it comes to feedback and interacting with its players.

*Deploys flame shield to protect from grumpy players who didn't get THEIR "suggestion" implemented*

Here, you can have this spare flame retardant suit I keep on hand due the generally unpopular ideas I have about GW. I agree though that anet is doing a very fine job, especially considering that I'm not playing monthly...

i think GWs isnt geared towards hardcore players.

but in terms of popularity, the requests for Auction house
Cape toggle
Pets sugestions
etc
are very popular but GWs still havent implemented them yet

A lot of people thought that 'cape toggle' was going to be included in this weekend's update. Some comments made by the Frog seemed to indicate that. More likely it will be inlcuded in the Summer Update when it finally comes along.

James Phinney also touches on the Auction House issue in his IGN interview. He says it's coming, but that Observer Mode will be implemented first. When that is... who knows.

I have no problem with the current rate of updates. Some people seem to think that whenever something is suggested it should be implemented immediately. There is something of greater importance that is being worked on. I'd rather see the summer update than a bunch of inconsequential suggestions. At least 90% of the things suggested should rightfully be ignored as most people have only their own interests in mind and not what is overall best for the game.

Aye, give them (Guild Wars developers - ArenaNet) some time, they are might be coding the new features already.

Rome is not built in a day.

Cheers.

heh, i remeber my first time playing.. some pop up box said "your clicking over and over on one enemy when you do not have to, click once and enjoy the show" or something... too much diablo 2 i guess

the first thing i did was dance for like 10 mintues, after that i went sight seeing..

as for boredom factor, i hardly get bored because i only play when my guild is on so i can talk to them, if they are not i do pvp or jump over to see whats shaking on another game, about once a week I take a day off GW so that helps too

All my suggestions are awesome and should be implemented for the greater good of humanity.

Also, after 3 months and 590 hours of play, I still feel like a newbie, in the good sense of the word.

* my Avatar is from Samurai Showdown. i stole it from some 1 on here i think.

* i'm going to make my own video game someday

* they put a lot of time into Dance & other non-hardcore stuff.
the graphics are stunning. how do they do it! so real! but wish they would concentrate on the beef & not so much on Eye Candy.

* when i play warcraft & diablo, it helps break up the montony then go back to GWs & its nice.

* if GWs becomes harder, in terms of difficulty level, i think the noobs wil aprreciate it more in the end. its way to easy to beat the game now.

very true in all respects.

the level grinders (hard core) are long gone

the hard core pvp (GWs most self proclaimed loyal fans) are long gone as well but still forum flaming Gaile, Alex and GW in general

if GWs wants customer loyalty, they better start pleasin the Hardcores!

we'r the ones that will pass it on the the next generation & introduce it to our friends.

btw, GWs has the best rank of mmorpgs on
www.mmorpg.com
even better then EQ2 & WoW

i love it.

they are hitting their target buying base almost dead center

*the hard core CASUAL gamer*

and there are a lot more of us than either extreme.

with no monthly fee you can stop playing for months between chapters without costing them a penny in cash flow and save costs on bandwidth at the same time.

Sad huh? GWs wants you Not to play for 9hrs every day! LOL.

BTW, i heard china has outlawed playing video games for more then 5hrs/day.

during the week i usualy play less then an hour/day. on weekends about 4/hrs/day.
