Talking Allow a third Profession but with a limit

OK you can have a primary profession and a secondary without the expertise skill in the secondary profession.

Like Warrior as a second profession you don't have strength, Ele you don't have energy storage, Ranger expertise and so on.

What I've always wished I had was one skill attribute from a third profession.

Like a character I have now a Warrior/Necro if I could only add that third profession with the limitations of one attribute it would be Monk/Healing so I could carry Restore Life.

Or a Warrior/Monk character I had I'd probably like to have added a ranger attribute of Wilderness survival and have traps or Beast Master and added a pet.

I think having the third profession with limitations on just one attribute would add another excellent dimension to this great game.

Bad idea imo, they would have to rethink their whole game strategy since this would totally unbalance things.....
With attributes from third profession people would be able to create a builds that would be very hard to counter since they would have almost limitless possibilities.
This is just my opinion so please don't flame.

i agree with berko... having a 3rd class could make player almost invincible

no. 3 classes means more combos. Too much combos already.

6*5*4=120

right now 6*5=30

More combos means more possible skill abuses

Actually you are a little wrong there with the math...
6 professions, choose 2. Looking for permutations

6 nPr 2 = 30 (which is what you got, but it's done like this)
6!/(6!-(6-2)!) or, (6*5*4*3*2*1)/[(6*5*4*3*2*1) - (4*3*2*1)]

Now,
I think this third profession thing would really mess things up a bit. There would be just too much power involved, and the next thing would be for people to ask for more skill slots.

Heh ain't gonna happen it would take a whole rebalancing of the whole game to add a 3rd profession. People would abuse and exploit it in not time.

How can you abuse it? You have 4 attributes for primary, 3 for secondary and 1 for the third in my proposal.

I play as much of this game as possible by myself and don't do any PvP at all. I just don't see or understand where the abuses would be.

Really if GuildWars made a Resurrect skill for all the professions other than the signet you can only use once this would pretty much take care of it for me, same with a pet.

Oh a friend of mine talked me into trying Everquest2, my what a lousy game that is the graphics are horrible and well it simply can't stand up to GuildWars.

But GuildWars can't get into tunnel vision. They have to remain open minded and flexable to keep improving the game. Maybe this isn't a good suggestion but without ways to make this game different it's going to be the same old quests over and over.

There are ways to change that.

No wonder you couldn't smell bad news when you thought of this. You haven't pvped before. All this would do is make great builds invincible and destroy the rock-paper-scissors counters. How can you abuse this? If you don't know the answer to that question you obviously have not been playing this game with your eyes open. With all the old exploits discovered and some new ones still unfixed, this would be eaten up in 30 minutes tops.

Also, some people choose ranger and monk secondary for the ability to bring a pet, or ressurect pals more then once. Enabling this would kill those professions, and further empower others. Next time you have thoughts, think them through further before posting them.

YA know I made a post a long time ago called "ressurections for all" suggesting that the "ressurect" (only the ressurect skill, none of the others excluding res signet) skill be made available to all classes. For christs sakes it has an 8 second prep time not to mention that the person you res gets almost no health when he/she revives, however I got flamed for my "stupid" suggestion.

actualy i vote to do away with 2nd classes.

i'm perfectly fine with only primary.

2nd classes giv us too much power
