If they change level cap I'll kill someone... KEEP LVL 20!!! WE DON'T NEED A GRIND!
Guild storage works as well as new CLASSES! [like a choice to change into a 'special' type depending on class secondary and stats after ascension. You can change back of course]
A w/n with death magic can be called a Death Knight ala Warcraft or a W/E with Earth Magic can be known as a Golem Gladiator with new skills specifically designed for the upgrade...
Just do it after Ascension, nothing fancy or anything like that...

That would be cool, new items, monsters, bosses, areas,Races (we need more races), basically all of that and i think that ANET will do something about all of this, hopefully. But still it would be SWEET!

Guild Wars is priced at a comparable cost to other first-tier PC games. The subsequent chapters of Guild Wars will be comparably priced in relation to other games.
Am I required to buy the new chapters in order to continue to play Guild Wars?
No. Every purchase you make in the continuation of the Guild Wars saga will be your choice. If you purchase new chapters, you will gain access to new regions of the world, new skills and abilities, new items, new professions, and much more. And of course such a purchase will support the continued development of the game. However, if you choose not to purchase a chapter, you will still be able to play the chapters of Guild Wars that you own, and you will have common areas in which you will be able to play with and against your friends who have purchased the other chapter(s).
Will I remain competitive if I do not buy the chapters? Will I be able to compete with and against others if I have only some of the Guild Wars chapters?
Yes. Purchasing the newer chapters of Guild Wars will not make you strictly more powerful. You will have access to many more strategic options, due to the expanding nature of the skills, abilities, items and professions that you enjoy with each chapter. It would be similar to building a deck in Magic: The Gathering™: The more cards you own, the greater the number of different playing decks you can choose to play. When you buy the chapters of Guild Wars, you will acquire a larger collection of skills and abilities from which to build your skill set, but you will not gain more power. So if you purchase a chapter and your friend does not, you will still be able to play competitively against and with one another.

That should answer you bit about whether there will be more GW THIS IS THE FIRST CHAPTER how many people haven't realized that is beyond me.

I would like to see these things:
1) More variety of staffs, wands, and rods for each caster class. Way too limited now.
2) More useful skills.
3) More pet choices. If I had more pet choices I might just make a ranger.
4) More variety of armor for each class.
5) More space in storage to store for the new weapons.
6) More useful pet skills.
7) More character slots. Maybe one or two more.
8) Classes that branch into more unique classes. (For example elementalist can become wizards).
9) Maybe the new unique classes can unlock some new skills/spells.
10) More character customization. (For example more face and hair styles).
11) Maybe have a place where you can change your hair style or color.
12) Maybe have a place where you can buy/craft clothes to wear in town only.
13) Maybe have a special storage spot for armor. (For example my Mesmer, Warrior, and Elementalist has two sets of armor).
14) Have a white dye but I would call it "bleach" to dye your armor/weapons.
15) I would also like the lvl cap go to 30 or maybe even 40. That way we would have a reason to do missions/quests.
16) What about pets that you can actually put armor on. Maybe they wont die so much.

It's not a big deal to get to level 20 anymore. It's just like "Hey, I'm level 20". "So what? You bought this a week ago, congratulations".
Also, new races... Why?
Would these races be playable? Perhaps unlocked when you ascend with a character.
I don't see it happening. I hope it doesn't.
|
why? for new interest and here is the official answer
Quote:
What playable races are there in Guild Wars?
In the first chapter you play characters from the human race. In subsequent chapters of Guild Wars, you may be able to play members of other races.
|
as for raising levels the cap is so they can spend their time on giving all of us more content rather than spreading their effort over several levels of play just so an elitest dingaholic can brag *look at my level i am better than you are and my grinding level proves it*
i am tired of going from a level 1 fireball that kills an enemy in 2-3 hits.............
to an OMG UBER LEVEL 10 fireball that kills the level 50 monster in 2-3 hits
you dont need the level increase for any other reason than bragging rights to time spent that someone else doesnt have to spare.
also there is the little matter of having to be compatable with chapter 1 people in the mingling areas which another 20 levels of attribute points would destroy completely.
if the magic ding is that important there are level grinding games all over and GW is avoiding that .

I like what you all are saying... I believe LVL 20 should have some kind of HONOR to it, but now with them Hunter Scrolls, I know some people who get to LVL 20 in a day... Also more weapons would be nice, new armor is great..
Lets hope there is more in the future of GW!
Cause I saw a commercial for Everquest on CNN here in Kuwait and it looked cool!

Guild Wars is supposed to be about just that. GUILD WARS. Though the PvE aspect is a game in itself, it is designed to help create the right conditions where people can engage in PvP and GvG, by finding items, getting money = better armour, unlocking skills, etc. You could do all this via a PvP character, but that would be incredibly boring. So it makes the experience more enjoyable.
However people often miss the point of GW. It's about FUN. Who gives a monkey's if you don't have over 500k in the bank? You can still get decent enough stuff without being uber-rich, especially now thanks to the green drops. And you have to remember that this is a VIRTUAL WORLD. When you actually start worrying about Guild Wars, that's when you've gone too far. If you don't enjoy it, don't play - there are better things you can be doing with your time.
-------
Chapter two will be a large extension of GW, more of a new game than a mere expansion. Thus as the world of GW becomes ever larger and even more depth is added, it will make a more enjoyable experience. Personally I am simply looking out for:
More professions
More skills
More weapons
A larger playing environment
I want the team to concentrate on those four areas and get them right first. Then they can worry about other bits. I couldn't care less about extra races, though it would be nice to bring them in for NPCs to add a bit more flavour.

weapons
- ones that glow, not jus the chaos ax.
- ones that drip poison
- a lightning sword
- bastard sword
- katana
- if you play neverwinternights or warcraft, you know their weapons are cooler.
lvls
goin to lvl 50 would be nice.
- insted of givin 15 atribute points for 1 quest, giv 1/lvl after lvl 30...
that quest shud giv 5 points not 15...
mounts
why is teleporting free? magic is not free. say u travel from ascalon to yaks bend...you hire a horse (for 5-100g/town...) then cut to a scene where you are riding at break neck speeds. insted of spendin so much time on silly quest cut scenes...
in warcraft3, theres games where you are riding mounts, & they are a lot of fun!
theres 1 where you race against 9 other people & you have adrenaline or a whip for a burst of speed.
- each time you go to town, you pay some 1 ( say 5-25g) to hold your backpack/weapons. check your weapons at the door policy...
i never saw a ranger with a crossbow.
- creeps should atack collectors too.
logs
for xp..., quests done....
char slots
for me, 4 is enuf but how many people wud pay 50-100k for jus 1 more slot? lol i'm sure u would have a lot of people waiting with checkbooks in hand, or bags of plat...
Farm
lots of people actualy enjoy it. its fun with a few friends....
Instance
we need non-instancing. oh max in a party is 8?
- guild invites from 100g to 50-75... spam is bad "join the ..." but 100-300g decreases the social aspect...

It will be nice once chapter 2 is Out I think. recent boredom of OTHERS in the game, have made for a degradation of the quality of people to play with. its becoming very quickly unpleasant to be around some of them even in the online world. doing everything they can to ruin the game for others in any way they can, just to gain a little more amusement out of the game for them. it was never about playing for them, it was and still is about exploiting something. Be it a NPC, Scam, or being obnoxious. either way, its working. they continually ruin things like Titan quests and Hall of heroes just to do it, and screw everyone else. no other reason... So it has gotten to the point no one wants to play much anymore till the new update comes out and these fools move on and get out of the way for the rest of the legitimate players...

1. GW needs an auction system. It takes too long to buy/sell stuff. You should be able to buy/sell without being present like EVE-online.
2. GW doesn't need higher lvls. If anything they need more attribute quests. Think about it, and additional 15, 30, or 45 attribute points would be the equivalent of a minor, major, and superior rune respectively, without the negative health.
Think about the difference of doing those two current 15 attribute quests makes. I mean, your character doesn't even become competitive in PvP until you get the full 200 att.
