Improve AI for pets and minions
the henches AI were improved on a few lvls. they now follow your called targets. don't spam spells repeatedly even if they are not needed at the time.
but what about the pets and minions. they are just like the henches used to be fore the updates.
pets will not attack a target unless you attack first. if you stop attacking he runs back to you. if you die i hovers around your body looking stupid. pets are just plain dumb. why was the AI improved along with the henches.
minions are the dumbest things on the game. they have the same problem of not attacking till you attack the target first (which gives the arggo to you instead of minions). if you don't attack they will start hitting things at random. once they have a target they will not release that target till it is dead. fiends will attack something even if its on the other side of a wall and they will not move from that spot till it is dead.
this really annoys the hell out of me that these crucial skills of an attribute branch are made almost completely useless b/c they are too dumb to use.
why were henches improved but pets and minions not?

thanx for the link but he did not mention minions in his/her's post.
pets and minions AI should work the same. either way they both need some help.

My point in linking you was your post could apply to the thread I linked to with a "yes and minions too!" In this way, the thread could be bumped repeatedly and hopefully catch Anets attention rather than two threads that are basically discussing the same thing that slip into obscurity.

minions are worse than pets in my eyes - but they should be... after all you are just summoning some lump of flesh and bones with no brain at all... sure they will go for what they see and dont stop till everything in sight is dead.......
the wall-bug is annoying thou' and regarding the pets - oh boy......
the charm animal skill could be a perfect attack button.... target enemy - hit charm animal button - and if you have a pet it will go and attack that target till either pet or target is dead..... (maybe with upkeep icon so you can call for retreat)
when i want to go beastmaster i dont want to aggro with my bow... i want my pet to do it.......
change would be appreciated

I think the lack of intelligence for minions balances it.
For one, could you imagine 20+ minions focus firing? That might be overpowered, but then again, I like how minions help to spread out the damage while the rest of the team focus fires ;-)
It also brings a balance between Bone Minions and Bone Horrors; Statisticaly, Bone Minions are superior (Their added health and damage is better; More energy benefits with soul reaping; Better for Death Nova/Taste of Blood, better for Winnowing, better for Predatory Seasons, etc, etc.), yet Minions spread the damage out even moreso than Bone Horrors and Fiends.

i can understand the logic of them being dumb b/c they are undead but logic really doesn't apply to any skill on this game if you really want to think about it.
anyways you are the master giving the commands. i give the command to kill a target yet they fire at a wall while the target just stands there. that's not killing the target. undead don't need a brain. the master is the brain.
death magic and beast mastery are 2 attribute branches that will almost never be used b/c of the dumb AIs. you can use minions for death bombs but that's about it. no other way to use them.
