To the entire Guru community:

It's with a heavy heart that I must inform you that this site, Guild Wars Guru, will be shutting down on July 1st and will remain in Archive Mode. Over the past 11 years, we've become, and continued to remain, the #1 fansite for Guild Wars, and it's all because to you guys. Without such a strong and passionate community, Guru would have never made it this far and so we thank you for that.

And while we will be saying good-bye to our home here, we will continue to host forums for the GW community over at our sister site, Guild Wars 2 Guru. In fact, you are more than welcome to head on over now and begin posting. If you have any threads you'd like to transfer over, now would be the time.

Manfred Krytan Explorer Join Date: Oct 2005	Them durn gvg matches I read the forum occasionally, but I actually joined to make this complaint: the new update has thrown the gvg matching logic horribly out o' whack. Now, due to an apparent oversight (oit seems that since guilds join and go fast, and the logic only operates on guild that join in THAT minute), lower level guilds actually face high-rated guilds MORE often than they would if it were random. With lots of guild playing anyways, changing the pairing algorithm back would only mean waits for those unlucky few, and I wait for about 10-15 minutes before every gvg for voice com and build notification anyhow. The new gvg pairing algorithm prefers to pair low-ranked and high ranked guilds together, widening the gap rather than giving everyone a chance as the programmers intended.
