Just a silly sugestion, but if you lets say press ctrl click on charge in your skill bar in a town, it would have the same effect has when your out of town, just to increase movement speed in town, things like sprint and rush, signet speed(the mesmer one and) and all the other one.

Hmm town skills could be interesting. Just showing off some skills for graphical fun like emotes would be an interestingly neat and fun idea. It would definitely lag a lot of people, so it would be limited depending on the populace.

You definitely should be able to use the Sprint skill in town. Not being able to is extremely aggravating.

The counter to this is the same counter as pets in towns...

Some people have shitty computers/video cards and lag as it is (poor frame rate, etc). So this will not help situations for them.

Some people can't do anything about this. Kids who are using the family computer, etc to play.

Another counter is that ANET could be doing more useful things with their time. Fixing actual problems with the game instead of making your run to storage a bit faster or letting you cast Meteor for the fun graphical in town.

Sure, it'd be amusing, but certainly not practical and will probably never make it on the to-do list for ANET.

the only skills this would work for are stances, enchantments, and anything else that can only affect you or your party. as far as i know, you can't cast meteor (or other offensive spells) without a target and there are no viable targets in town.
