New Class: The Rogue?
The Rogue, fundamentally, is a thief, a type of brigand or highwayman, beset on his enemies to use illusion and trickery to achieve what he desires. Although illusion and trickery sound like mesmer, allow me to go into futher detail.
The Rogue: The typical rogue would be restricted to a leather armor graphic <So approximately rangerish armor on down> and would be adept at using shortblades, daggers, and things of the like. Maybe, oh maybe, we could also implement a projectile system like a bow for throwing daggers.
Heres the Rogues general Skill list:
Main Skill: Stealth: This would increase at somewhat a rate like rangers expertise, but only instead of costing things less or what it does for rangers, each rank in stealth increases a projectile and melee dodge. Skills linking to evasiveness would be affected by one's Stealth.
Sub Skill: ShortBlades: For each rank in shortblades, it allows rogue to deal damage equivocally equal per rank with daggers, dirks, and short weaponry <IE: A warriors weapons mastery would be a good example> skills (like "Backstab" <IE: coming up behind em and giving em a nice present> or "Circle"<goes around an enemy to attack weak spots> would be linked to a Rogue's Shortblades). Also poisons and things for his shortblades would crucial, as a rogue relies on status altering attacks like a warriors cripple/gash/severy artery type of thing, but not dealing near as much melee as a warrior would.
Sub Skill: Trickery: For Each rank in trickery, a rogue would get a better chance charismatically to successfully pickpocket enemies <like a mug skill from other RPGS> and a bonus to pick lock or some such.
Sub Skill: Stalking: For each rank in stalking, you can better sneak up on enemies to inflict your skills on them <sort of like a sneak/hide in Dark Age of Camelot <nightblade> type>
Yes, I'm aware this is seriously patched together, but I still think even half of what's mentioned above would work for a rogue. The people are just demanding extra melee support <non-tank>. I believe this would be the perfect addition to classes. It doesn't have to be with those exact skills listed above; rather, please add your constructive criticism <No flaming please, if you dislike the idea that horribly bad, do not post>.
This is just an idea i've patched together from multiple posts that people keep asking for rogues and such. Please feel free to post anything you feel would help better the chance of ye olde' rogue making it. Thanks.

What would be the point of pickpocketing enemies? Why not just kill them and get their loot?

Usually, even if you don't like to admit it, somewhere, in a deep recess of your brain, you know you'd like to go "Neener neener neener, I stole your Twinhammer of charrslaying"
Pickpocketing, rogues, they go hand in hand, aka D&D when I literally could charm someone into handing me their stuff because I "Was on a mission to save the world!"
Lol, brings back memories. It doesn't have to be implemented, I'm just throwing some ideas in here. Constructive criticism, people.
If you don't like it/have ideas to add to it/comments about it, feel free to post how to better it. =)
