Run Cancel
I have a teeny tiny bit of lag whenever I play, because I'm always hooked up to a LAN where there are over 400 people connected. So whenever I play GW I'm always about a half a second behind everyone.
As you know, if you try to cast a spell as you run, the spell will automatically get cancelled. You would have to stop, cast your spell then continue running in order for your spell to take effect. I don't have a problem with this...if I have a normal connection, but with my current connection the spell always gets cancelled even if i've stopped. The game still thinks im running and therefore, my spell gets cancelled and I lose some energy.
I experience this quite a bit with my mesmer, especially when I am being chased by a warrior and I try to use Imagined Burden on him. I stop hitting the W key, and click on the spell. Even though I have stopped, the game still shows me running and the spell gets cancelled as well as my energy goes down the drain.
What I'm proposing, is that when you cast a spell, that has a casting time, your charcters should stop automatically and cast it. Once the spell has been cast, only then will you be allowed to run again.
Most of you GW players probably don't experience this problem what with your lag free connections, but this has been bothering me for about 3 months and it really prevents me from pulling off important spells on time or getting a kill right before the enemy heals themselves.
If there is a way around this, can someone let me know please and I want to apologize ahead of time if this suggestion has been posted before.
