since all the pets on the game are exactly the same except for dmg type i don't see the point of this.
i wouldn't care if they added new pets if they have the same AI as they do now. getting tired of waiting for a simple AI upgrade for the pets. just give me the henches AI before the aoe AI. i don't want my pet to run from aoe he can tank it or at least give me commands for him.

At least Pets now rez with you at Shrines....
But the point of new pets is just to have.... new pets!
I'd like to see more alien looking stuff, like the Dune Lizard.
(why can't a devourer be a pet? After all, Old Mack got one!)
But, we'll probably be stuck with Giant Pandas from the new area...

LOL!
This has been mentioned in another thread, but a Zoo is needed. (basically, inventory for pets, so you could switch them out as needed).
Else, you COULD have all your characters change secondary to Ranger, and then get several pets leveled up. From what I understand, even if you change your secondary later on, that Pet is still tied to that Character. (correct?)
So, maybe by Chapter Two's assumed new slots, you could have 7 pets....

My top choices for pet would either be a platypus or a bastard child.

How 'bout a Platypus egg?
Seriously, I like the idea of having eggs and having them hatch.
The coolest thing in table-top AD&D was finding an Egg of an exotic monster, and having a Ranger or Druid train it!

Serpent: blunt (crushing damage)
Devourer: type dependent on secondary skill...I like the hatching idea
Porcupine: Peircing damage (throws quills)
Badger: slashing damage
Wolverine: (see badger)
Tiger-wolf : extinct, but hey, can be virtually revived
Hound: not Cerberus, neccissarily, but a good "black hound"
Bobcat....why not?
Ram: blunt damage
Psuedodragon: of D&D pen and paper fame....small, but cool
NO racing snails

I think the new ones could cause certain condition like the spider was rumoured to do. Like a big snake as a pet(poison) a tiger (bleeding) a deer (crippling). They dont have to do the extra dmg but to have them would be nice. Maybe a bird thats in air or a small dragon that looks attainable (not some huge glint) he can even cause burning!

Porcupine ranged? Interesting, should more pets be ranged?
Pseudodragon: YES. Who wouldn't want one of those?
