..... Yeah, you have to go make a PvP character. That's really tough.
|
creating a character isn't difficult, but finding a group can take a while.
secondly, it's also about GvG, which is totally different than Tombs. Have you ever compared the time alone of GvG? approx 30 minutes a battle average.
How many in tombs?? 5 minutes max? (sry don't know about HoH cause I've never been there)

Tombs as a training ground? Hardly fair for players new/unexperienced to PvP.
By the way Guild Halls need a bar, large speakers, and strobe lights.

We all want a training hall.... but Few really suggest how it could be done, or what feature to be in it.
I see such training hall having different features. one, a Wooden Doll type of thing, which you can measure how much damage you, or your combo group, can do to one or multiple target. 2, A box ring of sort, where you can pick group and issue challenges to other in the room (would be fun to see a 3v1 fight) 3rd, on paying some money (as a gold sink), you would try out a mock guild fight with bots on other team. Of couse, each upgrade or add on of feature should cost more money (more gold sink for rich guilds).

I like the wooden doll thing. I remember when i had started my old guild and the game was still fresh (maybe 3 weeks into release) i had expected much more from my guild hall. All i got was an empty hall with no storage for a sigil that was worth around 80k at the time. I won the sigil but thats hardly the point. I think the designers may have overlooked some of the basic necessities but i think a game with the name "Guild Wars" would have more emphasis on guilds and offer benefits over being a random nobody. The cost for all these benefits would make things interesting too. The guild didnt help me buy the guild hall (before we won the sigil) but im sure they would have pitched in for some training equipment.
Anyways..
