Customized For Guild
I think this would be a good idea, to allow Guild Leader and/or Officers to mark weapons and items as "Customized for Guild". This would have the effect of allowing you to give weapons and equipment to newcomers to the guild but if they leave the guild the items get returned to the guild somehow. Maybe into a guild storage box or issuing officer etc.
The main reason for suggesting this is to 1) help out newcomers and share your guild resources 2) stop people joining a guild, taking stuff and then leaving after a short time.
Customized for Guild items would take precedence over Customized for <playername> i.e. it can't be personally customized. This would then in turn encourage the players to find their own items of similar/better stats which they can then customize for themselves or contribute to the guild resources...

Interesting idea. I've found that the main problem with this game is that there is no real guild infrastructure. Yeah, there is a hall. But beyond that, you have no storage and overall not alot is allowed to the guild in order to coordinate things.

i said it b4 an idea like this.
the person who puts the item can be the only one who can mark it as a guild item and the only who can take it back. when ppl leave guild item automatically goes to guild storage (when or if we get one)

Although it allows items to be shared amongst guildies, say HoD swords, greens, excellent golds, etc, rather than having them either not customized and thus not receiving the damage bonus or tied to a single character.
Perhaps Guild Customization is only 10% damage increase since it can be a shared item?

A rather excellant idea. I and other officers/members of my guild have given countless weapons to new guild members only to have them leave the guild within a week or so.

Have had the same idea, people donating weapons to the guild storage(or guild weapon depot) then the weapon/shield get branded(guild customised) only leader/offisers can give them to members. If the member leave the weapon automaticly returns to the storage.

Hmm, interesting and good idea. I think that if they are to be customized they should be labeled as: Customized by Name Here for guild use. +10% damage. This way if they were kicked or something, they'd return to the guild bank or player.
