Post Here's an idea for Guild wars: Raids

i think a really cool idea for gw will be to have some raids in it that require lots of people to complete like 15-20 people. The places will be very hard to complete regardless of your build and all enemeis will be lvl 30-50

Also there will be very powerful bosses that drop very rare items and such.

I think this will be very cool and it will be really fun to do cuz of the very rare items that can drop and it gets u something to do.

This is just a thought.. plz tell me what u think!!

I love the sound of raids and i've thought of it afew times myself
I'd love it.

Like everquest 2 style with epic encounters and stuff with very rare drops.
i think this idea should be taken seriously

Hahahaha no.

GW is not WoW, and I want it to stay that way.

lol.. and if you kill a player(what if that was allowed too) an item should drop from his/her inventory... I can see now, everyone running after akh or Nef to get the ohh so l33t drop that they always wanted

But seriously though, this is not WoW as Kakumei mentioned earlier.

Raids.. meh. someone been playing lineage2 too much

Seriously tho, it's bad enough trying to get a group of 4/6/8 people.
try 20..

GWs is the other way around, people try to do areas with the smallest groups possible as they want the drops.

If this was introduced they would have to make this insanely hard and force it not to start till the group was full.

I like the idea..but it needs to be different than just a normal raid...otherwise it is just copying WoW or L2.

NO. Hopefully Guild Wars will never sink to the level of retardness and dumbassness such as what we see in WoW

I think it's a little overcritical to say that WoW is retarded and full of "dumbassness," because... frankly... I see those same things as I sit in Lion's Arch. And I do have friends that quit GW for WoW - but plan to come back for Chapter 2. It's unfair to be all "OMG WOW LOL NO," and a bit silly.

Guild Wars is NOT the "anti-WoW," no matter how many people claim it is. It's a different game. If it happens to share a characteristic (OH NOES WE GET LEVELS, JUST LIKE THEY DO IN WOW!!) then so be it.

I don't know that a "raid" exactly would be good, but I love the fact that they are introducing larger-scale cooperative missions and competitive missions in Chatper 2. I think that's good enough for me.

Although a 16-man party would be kind of crazy. A lot of guilds would be able to field this. And those that can't... can find another guild to play with. ^^; I'm split on the idea.

I have nothing against WoW.

I have absolutely everything against GW becoming more like WoW.

They are two seperate games, and should remain that way.

Bad idea. Some abilities would become way too powerful. You could have half a dozen Monks spamming Heal Party and a few Necros spamming BiP and your team would be basically invincible.

Its a cool plan but i dont think that it has been thought through.
I mean having larger party sizes would be so cool, but lvl 50 enemies? (note the "s" indicating plural) Wouldnt that exclude almost 80% of players who arent skilled enough? But maybe thats not so bad, the higher beings need something for themselves i guess.
Also it seems to me like the pvp arenas with one team removed and big monsters instead but maybe i misunderstood.
