Different capes for Guild leaders and officers?
Maybe just a different colour trim or something that would make leaders and officers stand out a bit more than joe regular members, especially if you had to do a lot for the guild to be promoted. I have no experience in GvG though, would this make the leader and officers bigger targets?

I wouldn't want to see different colors or someting, but I would like tosee maybe something on your outfit if you choose, but not a different color cape for them.

This brings in a "Military" aspect to GW, which would also require uniform armor for the guildies.. It wouldn't work out too well. (Unless everyone had FoW armor so they all looked the same)

Maybe a gold trim at the most, but not different cape.

A number of ideas could work, ie Forenames such as "Officer Trigo". Extra initials "Bobby The King" [Rank,Guild]. A decorational arm strap with insignia on it for the respective ranks.
just some ideas

It should rain in guild wars, then officers could have umbrellas.

So you mean, force everyone to be Guild Leader just to look cool? Nah, very bad idea. After a while, there will be hundreds of thousand 1-man guilds just because everyone wants to be leader, so they'll get this "special look".

How is this FORCING people to be guild leaders?! You make it sound like I want guild leaders being carried around on thrones of gold on the shoulders of their lackies. It could just be a different colour trim, (like i mentioned in my first post) it doesnt have to look any better, just different. Anyway, it could be only used in Guilds with maybe 10 or more people, thereby eliminating the problem (you dominated your post with) completely.

Last time I checked, there ARE areas in GW that rain. For instance, in presearing near the northern shiverpeaks at that place... geeze what's it called there. Wizard's Folly or something? No.. that can't be right. We'll it's that place in presearing where you come out, there's the start of the shiverpeaks to one side and earth elementals to the other side. It drizzles and stuff there.

Well imo, things are fine the way they are. Leaders and Officers should not be made to stand out from Members. It will inevitably lead to jealousy, and the whole "Hey man, why is he and officer and i'm not?" thing. But one suggestion I do have is to add more guild emblem possibilites, such as perhaps having the option to use the pictures from skills. For example, our guild is based on a mesmer theme. Other than the emblem with the intersecting rose and rapier, I couldn't really find something that would fit that look we wanted. It would be awesome if we could have the picture from the skill Hex Breaker, I've always liked that. Also I wouldn't think displaying what rank you are on your character's appearance would be a good idea. Simply being because people will say "Eww you're not rank 12, sorry." So yeah, things are fine the way they are in my opinion.
