home town
I had an idea. For PvE, that you're able to set a home town.At the login screen, you can select an outpost from a drop down list, listing every outpost you've been to with that character. then you can select a checkbox "always login at this town". you also go there if you leave your guild hall.
It could be nice to breath some life in the lesser populated outposts.

Or, you could use your map.

IF you REALLY want a home town, just go to that place before you log out.
Problem solved.

I like the idea of choosing an outpost at log-in screen.

Its a good idea, but a bit too extraneous for the developers to do when there are many more important issues out there. Like they said, you can easily map there or just log out where you want to be. The only concern I could say about mapping is the whole pvp and pve areas, transferring between I hate having to constantly go through Lion's Arch and Great Temple of Balthazer before going anywhere else.

i like the idea but i think it would make more sense to pop up in your guild hall if you have one. if you arent in a guild or your guild doesnt yet have a guild hall then you use the current system ie pop up in the last outpost you visited

Please no. It takes too long to go from Guild Hall-Lion's Arch-Whatever town/outpost you want.

I hate the new mapping system for the guild hall. As for the idea of selecting what town you start in, I love it, I die a little inside whenever I log in and end up in LA or Ash because I was helping a friend before.
