Sorry, this has been brought up before, and its just silly. Typically a guild leader will be the one who has paid for the hall, capes and everything. You're going to steal all that from him because you don't like him? I don't think so. If you have a problem with the leader, quit the guild. This isn't Anarchy Wars, its Guild Wars.

but ti would make the game so much more fun if you can round up a group of people within the guild that agree with you and dont like the leader.

So...a bunch of people keep joining guilds kicking out the guild leader, ruining the guild, then leaving and doing it to another one...
The fun in that is?

PieXags votes absolutely not. A guild leader took the time out of his day to start the guild, purchase the name, purchase the cape (in most situations), start it up, etc. In no way should you be able to throw someone out of a guild or overthrow them once they've put their time and money into it. That might as well be stealing.

If you can round up a group of people within the guild that agree with you, then all of you can leave together and start your own guild.

well...im a fair leader. if any of my officers feels like being leader, id just ask the rest of the guild what they think...
i think something so simple is much better.

I've been in a guild where he charged money for a vent server. I don't remember how, but we all found out that he was corrupt and taking money, so we all left and started another guild. So it's just better starting another guild anyways.
If this were to be implemented, however, then why not just have the officers have the ability to vote off the guild leader?

I am the leader of my guild, it is big. If I got overthrown I would find a way to take all my guild members down with me. You have no idea how much time and money I have spent on my guild. For christmas I spent over 100k on presents for guildies, I am always power leveling them, running them places, giving them money, etc.

Gotta vote "NO" to this one! You don't like your guild leader? Find a new guild! You wanna be a guild leader? Instead of robbing someone of all their hard work, get your lazy self to work and start your own.
I'm in a guild that's a multi-gaming group and has been around for 5 or 6 years and we've had the same leader through-out. He founded our guild (squad/clan/whatever depending on the game) and has been the driving force behind keeping it going - wouldn't trade him as leader for anyone.
Giving this kind of power to new recruits is just begging for trouble, especially for newer / smaller guilds. Example - we invited someone to join our guild after a week or so of playing with this person - seemed petty cool. Within days this person was telling us how the guild should be run! Needless to say, that one didn't stick around long. Could have been a different story if we weren't already a tight-knit group.

Firstly I do vote "no" to this idea.
However I do also debate the fact that the guild leader is always the one who pays for cape and hall, but that is another matter entirely.

I was a co founder and the former leader of [Fc], passing the crown on to another member only because of work/time concerns etc. but have to say that definately no to this idea - only time the leader should stand down is of his/her own choosing. Probably 99% out there are decent, work hard and put a lot time/effort into the guild. There should be no facility to remove them by the rest of the group. Only possible exception I can think of would be if the person disappears for months and nobody can contact him/her... which causes a problem to sort out Officer issues. Even then, everyone who wants to can form a new group.
If you don't like your group leader that much, leave and find some other group more suitable to you, or better yet take the (huge) time and effort to start your own, pay for hall/cape etc and recruit/help others and so forth. You will have a very different opinion of what it means to be leading It's also incredibly lame to suggest rounding up a group of people to ruin somebody's hard work like that....
