Just wanted to throw this idea out there to see what everyone else thought. I would like to see more extremely rare "skinned" items in the game, we all know the ones currently...crystalline sword, sickle, tribal axe, dwarven axe, serpent axe and orrish earth staff, these items are awesome fun to treasure hunt for but maybe Anet could add a few more into the game (oh ya, the IDS was another awesome addition). PVE exclusive players (and maybe even some PVP players) I am sure would very much enjoy searching for more extremely rare skinned items...and what a wonderful gold sink it would be too. Of course these items would have all the normal stats...just different rare skins. What do you think?

rare skins are always nice but lets see what we get in ch2 before asking for more.also to point out a misconception,a gold sink is something that takes money out of the economy.and if they start adding more items as rare as the crystaline was before the secret was let out then they are just gonna make more ppl use e-bay so as to afford them.personaly i would like to see some of the current rares made more easily obtainable so the prices would drop quicker than they are doing at present.then maybe there would be less ppl using e-bay.

You are right...my mistake, not really a gold sink, I guess my point is rather, something to spend money on. I disagree on the rest though, I am not talking about new common items in Ch.2 but rather extremely rare skinned items, as far as ebay gold buyers, they will always be there because those people see no harm in it, they even buy gold just so they can be run thru the game on new characters, lets not forget that many players are just immature, look how many people beg for 1k gold!! You message them to go farm for it and they simply reply that it takes too long or is boring, give me a break! My point is for those who actually enjoy treasure hunting and owning rare items...and lets face it, in GW that simply means rare skinned since the mods are far from rare in most cases. You want to stop ebay gold then seriously go after the bots...which I believe Anet is doing, this is after all a very difficult thing to stop, but please don't blame those of us who deal in very rare weapons, if you ask most of us, the first thing we do is customize the perfect rare skins anyways. One last thing, about crystallines the secret being out and not very rare now, I think not, they still drop extremely rare as they alwyas have...I don't see many being WTS

PS. Don't under-estimate the percentage of the community that play simply for the thrill in finding rare items...I myself collect the weapons for my warrior, I recently had a rare req 8 crystalline drop, I immediately id'ed it, zoned to ascalon and customized for Apocalypse XX---damage +20%, now if only I could find that rare req 8 dwarven axe and serpent axe...I could just buy them, but rather I like to find them for myself...what a thrill seeing that rare crystalline drop...the only one for me since April 28th, 2005 (retail release date) FTW
