Look at the maps you put this skill on. Its all HoH maps. Name 1 spirit in an HoH map that is not overpowered. That's because the range it too big for you to get away from. Which ever team is able to adjust to the environment spirits creates will win. Most likely in the favor of the spirit users.
Its the maps that make that affective. Take that to GvG and watch it crumble.

Not once, not twice, but three times (3 times), my rank 75 guild has been no a good hall holding run, and we get beaten by a pug iway that bombs us. Yes, you can win halls with edge bomb. Is it likely? No. I lost a potential 1000 fame to eoe bombs, and im not as pissed as icemonkey.
Spirits are not overpowered. My guild's necro spike owns the hell out of altar holding groups all the time. The easiest solution versus a spirit spammer: kill it.

1. EoE KILL THE SPIRIT.
2. Mending ENCHANTMENT REMOVAL.
They arent over powered, you people just dont want to waste a skill slot countering it so you just go and say "NERF, NERF, NERF!"

I'm Rank 2 in PvP and the last game I played was like:
(on teamspeak):
oh, they cast EoE
(2 sec)
all dead
We did try to split up
NOT ENOUGH TIME if it is used correctly.
The thing that bothers me most is:
If It is a PVE nerf like mobs running from fire rain, there are lots of people saying:
Great!
If someone try to show that in PvP a skill JUST KILL EVERYONE IN 2 SEC:
OMG! That can't be!

Like everything in GW the counter is skill of the opposing team. I have been in situacions where i have been winning a battle, and then EoE shuts it all up. Its all part of the fun. Watching EoE backfire spectacularly is as fun as beating them with cold steal. I suppose it could be argued that it changes the rules of engagement too much. Other spirits also change the rules of the game, which a team takes advantage of.
My opinion is that it does not need to be nerfed. It wipes out a good team occasionally, and it can be annoying when it does. I watched a match in HoH on observer, and a top 100 guild with a balanced build had it in the bag until EoE recked all their plans.
the only counter is to make sure that you can keep as many players as possible above the half way line, and take down the opposition one by one, as much as possible. Sometimes a chain reaction is started, but sometimes it can be averted.
All spirits will see a reduction in usefulnes with factions. Did anybody else pick up on spirit walk? i know it allowed you to shadow step to rituals, and the name suggests that spirits are fair game as well. Its 5 nrg, 1 sec cast and spammable. Killing spirits will be easier if a warrior can close the distance in a second (even if he/she does sit right on the traps)

EoE is not overpowered at all. Nor are EoE builds. I spent most of last night in an EoE group and altho the bomb went of perfectly 3/4 of the time, the other 1/4 people noticed what was going on and put up fertile etc. Its an extremely fun build to play but its not overpowered in that you will win consistently with it. Also it is actually fairly difficult to run a build in perfect sync. One mistake can completely screw it up.
Anyhow, dont nerf EoE please. Its always entertaining to come on observer mode in HoH or courtyard to see the ghosties duking it out ^^

EoE is fine. I've run it and played against it - nothing like Leech signet on the EoE. The only place I really don't like EoE is the HoH, as it just gets stupid in there - a big melee at the 2 minute mark with someone dropping an EoE, 3 teams in there, trying to find the stupid thing before it kills everyone... that one particular use IS annoying, just due to the randomness of the slaughter. But why change a skill that is perfectly fine in 99.9% of the game, and only annoying in one little area?
