Default Storm/Eternal Bow Dye Petition

Calling all rangers:

If warriors can dye a Chaos axe then why can rangers not dye an eternal or storm bow....I just think its only fair to allow us the same dye methods for our special weapons as warriors have....

leave a quick nod so i can find out if this has enough support to bring it to ANET..

Agreed. Storm Bows look like the same "material" if you will as CAxes so I agree.

Errr.. have any of you actually tried!??

You cant dye Storm bows in the same sense as armor, but their color shading is affected. Try it out! i have gone through a few different dyes on my stormbow which have produced a variety of shades from dark green to nearly pure white!

I agree the storm bow should allowed to be dyed in the same way as the CAXE.

However, to me, the concept of a bow should be wooden, somthing about the "life" of the wood provide its flexsibilty attracts me. So I dont really like the storm bow. All the eletricity going through it, surely its not good for your hand.

Why can't a ranger use a chaos axe??? Why must only a warrior use them?

/notsigned due to chracter racism

/signed for color effect on bows.

No to dyeing either. Storm bows look somewhat "storm-like", you know, like lightning would. Lightning sure as heck isn't pink or green*. Eternal bows are shaded like ghosts, and you don't see purple ghosts floating around. Besides, if I made something "eternal" I'd ensure nobody mucked about with my workmanship too - non-dyeable teflon coating, that's the trick.

It's silly - just ask for a Chaos bow, that way you get around the problem. There's no eternal sword, storm sword or shadow sword, so what are you griping about?

* Actually, lightning CAN be pink or green, but only on varying the atmosphere. Unless you suddenly change the atmosphere to a Neon/Helium Blend for example I think pink is out.

I would HOPE not! All the green & yellow one's I've got floating around here would get pretty upset. (It's the Purple ones that's responsible for global warming, don't cha know?)

/signed - I'd love to see the storm bow's effects take different colors (Maybe an actual USE for Orange Dye?)

An Eternal Bow is more like a ghostly staff or etheral shield, I think the ghostly sword needs to be added if these suckers will be. Also the Stormbow should stay the way it is, maybe have some compatibilites to yellow or purple but not red or green.

If you think Ghostly Sword needs to be added to go with the Eternal Bows, Staffs, Shield, etc., then it's only natural there are Eternal Wands and stuff.

Like someone else said storm bows CAN be dyed they just do not become very vibrent. Find someone else with an eternal bow and then dye yours and compare it.
