1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and a 8v8 Dopple Ganger battle
It would be a really good idea to put in a 1v1 area, 2v2 area, and 3v3 area for more fun. I would love to do 1v1 and see if my own build could stop the other persons build. 1v1 would be good for guilds to try-out a person before allowing the person to get into the guild. Samething goes for any of area.
Now the 8v8 Dopple Ganger concept would be pretty interesting to do. Each of the 8 Dopple Gangers would copy the skills of the other person on your team. To make this even more fun. The AI on the Dopple Ganger would have to be better so people couldn't be cheap and just bring sac skills to kill the Dopple Ganger.
Tell me ideas on this subject, so that maybe anet will see this and think about doing one of these ideas.
thx, bye

1v1 is not a good player assessment tool. One of the main qualities of a good player is how they can assess 16 different players and the map, rather than being shuttered on one player.

8v8 Dopple sounds awesome, if it's random teaming. IE, you can't see who else is on your team before you start. Then bringing crap skills would be a terrible idea because you'd be raped by the other dopplers, unless by some insane stroke of luck they were all using crap skills that managed to not complement eachother enough to kill your party one by one.

I heard that a 1v1 arena was implemented in many Pre-Factions party, but still unsure if it will be in Chapter 2.

You know I'd really like to bring a team of 8 into a place where we fought a team of our dopplegangers---so long as they actually WERE our dopplegangers, and they didn't have all attributes maxed out no matter what ours were, with max weapons/armor/any weapon available/etc.

1 v 1 is a really bad idea. How many times has there been 1 person left from each team in RA and they have both tried their best to kill each other? I have seen this a fair few times myself and many folk just leave out of boredom. I have seen anti-warrior mesmers and spiteful necros trying their hardest to kill warriors who refuse to attack and just spam healing signet and breeze. A 1 versus 1 arena will be just full of these stalemates or folk will just meet their exact counter and be totalled in 2 mins flat. I can't imagine either case being fun for anyone - but if they do implement it then I hope you folks who begged for it enjoy it.... I really do.
Still on the subject of 1 v 1, if you apply for a guild that trials applicants in this arena then you and that guild deserve each other.

Lol yeah.. 1vs1 normally yield no results.. and the winner will always be... griefers who out lasts opponent and bots to do the finish off opponent when they go afk!!
But inter-guild competition, is a FUN FACTOR+++

yea it would be nice if there would be a small doppleganger area where people could, team up.
But on the other hand it would make Doppleganger mission alot easier.
But I do think it's a nice Idea.

i think 1v1 is a great idea but there should be a time limit and some kind of adjustment to make the players be more offensive so that a undecided match is rare. maybe drop all healing to 0 or when you do not meet a certain damage output there will be a elementalist npc that will through a lightning orb at ya.
