Some of these are ideas I have been toying around with, and others are ones I've seen spread among several other threads.

I think the HA is destined for failure the longer this game goes on. It will be increasing harder for new people who buy the game to get immersed into 8v8 PvP with the current system.

Just like GvG, I think there should be some sort of ladder for HA that periodically gets reset. I don't know if it should be an individual basis, or a team basis or both. Team basis would be harder to pull off, because the team you're on can change frequently.
Suggested ways:
-If majority of team is guild, have a ladder for that
-If a team has played and won x amount of games
-By player basis
-etc.
One thing to keep in mind would be you can't base it purely on wins/losses. Like GvG, there needs to be some sort of Power Rating. Maybe we could achieve this by some formula using the collected teams Rank/Fame/Faction, or combiations of them.

Another thing to keep in mind is Rank of the individual players. Rank should rise and fall based on wins and losses and something like the suggested power rating from above. (I saw this suggestion in another thread)

I think that just the word Fame itself should indicate some sort of real fame, and a ladder would be a great way to do this.

I just feel that the path Guild Wars is currently taking will in the long run leave many people shut out of large PvP, and something needs to be done to fix this. Any other suggestions (or even constructive criticism) would be greatly appreciated.
