Guild wars, sci-fi/old style in the same game!!!
An idea i got, something new to RPG and outstanding:
lol, what would be nice/awesome (i will post this at sardelac):
Well what i think would be really awesome is this, chapter 3:
-monsters/people and other stuff from the future came to the guild wars time with a new time-machine system, thats the main thing though!
-it would be a mix with sci-fi and old style
-you could either choose to start in the future side or the past (old) side of the world.
-it would be like in zelda and metroid prime 2: the future world and past world would be like 50-60% looking like the same ( and then i mean the shape, so instead of a destroyed ascalon area we would have a nice forest/plain area in the future, but with the same shape and map, so people could feel like: "heey, it's like iv'e been here before"
-The future people would be using guns and no magic at all so they would be equal!
-People from future could visit the past and past could visit future anytime they wish!, in cities like ascalon, lion's arch, droknar's forge...etc and they could join up on teams, so we could see a mixed team with past and future people!
-In future fow, uw and those places would be replaced with new ones, like a moon or something they warp to
-the game system would be the same!
-Professions for the future army could be like: *Sniper (the future ranger), *Knight, carrying different kinds of high-tech swords, axes etc.. (the future warrior), *Support sets out different kinds of energy sources (the same as wards and wells), a little bit healing and some machine minions.....(future necro) and then etc..........
-what would also be nice was if we could mix professions Warrior/Knight, Ranger/sniper or Support/Necromancer
-what you say?

Creative concept, but I doubt ANet'll spring for it... they'd be more likely to create a new MMORPG with the theme.

time machine , yes , go back , mix everybody , ohh yes
armors !!! future fantasy armors , neon colors , super high tech ... if guildwars makes a future kind campain , jesus , im sure 1 million will jump to a lot more copys sold.
if not on guildwars 3 , please anet , guildwars 5 make it futuristic
we know you can do it

It would be cool, maybe hard to fit it in the already lame story line tho.
And guns, yes, we should have'm already for rangers. Flintlocks that magically reload, like yer magic invisible quiver.
If not a 3rd chapter like this, they could maybe build a sci-fi type game on this same engine.

It's been done before, minus the time travel. "Arcanum," by the same people who made "Temple of Elemental Evil." It was a great game, but a hacked copy found its way onto Napster before it even reached the stores, so the company stopped advertising and supporting it. I think it was even PC Gamer's Game of the Year.

You know what they could do? Make a Dimmesional Portat that have the City of Hero character be able to come in to the GW's world. Screw laser gun when you have eye beams.

You're talking about the Might and Magic series aren't you? The RPGs not the strategy games. Those always ended up with you using lasers against robots in an abandoned spaceship

If any of this would come to the game it would make alot of people including me Leave, bringing stuff from the future is not a good idea for a fantasy game, I would belive the wow team to do something stupid like this, but Not from Anet never ^^

Funnily enough, if Galaxies wasn't about hogging the license, I thought that a Star Wars MMO in the Guild Wars model would be superb. You could be Jedi, bounty hunters, and a variety of other classes and visit locations from the films. That would make a great sci-fi MMO, and Guild Wars' fast combat would go very well with the license.
