I've been thinking about this alot and decided to ask for others opinions in this.

More and more people are always using Local channel for theyr Sell shouts or buy shouts, I disable trade channel when I dont want to buy anything, but I still cant get rid of the overflow of of anoying sell shouts, I wouldn't say they were anoying if they were just used on the trade channel, that people can disable when ever they dont want to sell or buy things.

I've been thinking of a simple idea to solve this, that would be item links that only would appear in the trade channel, many game have this not only world of warcraft.
It would both save alot of time for sellers and buyers, if they would just click it and then see item info pop up on their screen.

Another way could be having a screen like whisper channel with a few things in the "whisper" menu, like "WTS","WTB","WTT" that would maybe solve this a bit.

Well anyways I would just like your opinions in this, if this could work or if this will be a neverending struggle.

This topic isn't new, it has been discussed numerous times. The spamming annoys many!!
However, Gaile Gray has confirmed that "many changes will be made to the trade system and that we will be pleased" and she also confirmed that auction houses will not be a part of these improvements as of yet.

We will have to wait and see. For now, try to avoid the d1's of the major cities and spamming should be less

Indeed it can be annoying. I believe that the reason that people use the local channel to sell stuffs is the color of the text. You may not agree with me, but I find it can be really hard to read the trade channel in a place like LA d1 where things are spammed soooo fast. We'll see what Anet does in chapter 2 to the trading system.

Close all chats but Guild chat and Team chat, and only open the other chats when you get bored and lonely.

That's what I try to do but sometimes I get lonely like you said, but when I turn n local I get sad and anoyed. but sorry that I posted it again I didn't find it :/
But I'm really pleased to read that there will be some changes made soon

I want to be in the public chat area...gives you a chance to meet other players, etc. All I see is flippin stuff for sale and it is getting QUITE ANNOYING and it is basically RUINING the game in my opinion! A simple filter would fix this crud. You cant go to ANY town or ANY district and be free of the crap for sale in the normal chat channel! I want to be able to talk to people BUT YOU CANT...what I find funny..someone selling something can repeat it every other line, but If I try to reply to them using the same tactic I AM STOPPED for spamming the board...SOMETHING has to be done QUICK..I just bought the Factions Pre-order and if it doesnt change I am putting GW on the shelf and go back to FPS games like UT...I was converted from FPS to GW because I like it BUT I DETEST the flippin people that spam the board selling stuff!

Yes, the specific suggestion here -making items linkable, but only in the trade channel- is a good one. It would make it less practical to sell in other channels, compared to the smoothness that is linking.

I too dislike the WTS in the local chat and notice that when you say something like "use the tradel channel people" all you get is people telling you to stop whining and spamming!

very annoying, fortunately i have a solution!

since 99% of them WTS in local, lets all turn of local chat and talk in trade chat
