Petition to change the GvG matching system. My guild has recently begun doing GvG. None of us are very experienced at GvG and some are not experienced at PvP at all. Our current record is 6-7, of those seven loses we have fought against:

Seventh Sea Scurvy
Time Is Running
Bring Back The Rifts
Sweetie Animal Girl
I am sure there was one more battle against a top 100 guild but it is no longer in the guild history and I cannot recall the name.

I would like to see the GvG matching system changed to only matching you guild with guilds within ~200 Rank difference. I would much rather wait in my guild hall talking with my guild mates then fight a team we do not have the experience or teamwork to even present a challenge to. These "fights" are discouraging to us and boring to the other guild. Some might say that it is a good experience for us but how do we learn more from this than we would learn from this than watching matches on observer mode? We have also had our fights against guilds ranked much lower than us, guilds with four henchmen and low level players. These battles were boring, presented no challenge to both teams, and neither team learned from the battle.

This would also help put an end to smurfing. For those who don’t know, smurfing is where a top ranked guild makes a new temporary guild in the hopes of fighting a top ranked guild to lower their rank. This is an unfair tactic and something that I am sure was not designed to be part of the game.

The current guild matching system has a set amount of time that it will wait for an opponent in your range. If all time runs out, or the time of another guild runs out and your guild is the only other guild waiting to enter, you will be matched up with them.
There really is no way to make the matching system better, except to lengthen that time amount. Your guild just got stuck at the wrong time of a bad day. Pay attention to the observe list to see how many top guilds are gvging.

Lol dude if you can defeat a team of 8 with half real people and henchies. That is a great feat in my opinion, to be able to pull it off, the tactics, PLUS seeing henchies like to go their own ways. The GVG rank system is how it is, take the good with the bad, and if you were able to defeat a high level rank than gg.

What about modifying it so that the time amount is selected by the guild and the guild is not inappropriately matched otherwise? Some guilds want to be matched quickly at the expense of a competetive match. Other guilds would rather wait (possibly for quite a bit of time) to be matched with an appropriately ranked guild.
