faction sould benefit BOTH sides....
since pvp is about battles, i agree to the idea that if your side has favour, it allows you increased faction acumilation or fame acumilation...again, a reason to go kick ass in HoA ect, when your not just going there for the fun.

since PvE is about quests, story, mashing up mobs for the frell of it...
having the favour should mean that your sides PvE char gould get acces to a special quest, just like we did with Dwayna at Sardelack...
only, its maybe sometihng much more lasting and fun....like tracking down sometihng that running amock all over the world...so long as you *talked* to a avatar of the gods, got hold of the quest ect, you could make it a set of ongoing ones....one for each god/goddess.....

again it is SOO! not fair to make one group reliant on the other...*factions conten, well, i may not like it, but hey..its part of the story to have towns and takeovers on that map..*

as to 'its a pvp game,' pfff......its what you want it to be..hardcore pvp'ers will call it a pvp game, cause that what they want it to be, and pve hardcore call it a pve game.....and saying to someone, 'get over it and pvp...'
thats like saying to someone that hates cheese or strawberries to Get Over It and start eating it....
would YOU like it if i FORCED you to PvE for hours? nope...so why sugest (a forcing, in a way, if you will) that those of us who have no interest start doing it?
i will only play Snowball arena, i have a lot of fun there, because it is *Truly* ballanced....and its not realy to the death, its with snow...for fun...and prezzies...

i have no interest in any other type of pvp...flat, simple and quoted for truth.

locking me out of an area i might one day want to explore, sinply cause by then, all the best UK guilds have buggered off to the next big thing on chap 2 thru 4 ect, so i have no choice and cannot explore it simpy cause, the other sides kiddies are now dominating the pvp part that i need to get my exploreable area unlocked?

its like saying, oh, ok, you can have 10 out of 12 of the random maps available to you, but because the PvE players have not filled up their accention quota for today, you cant have the desert or firey maps..sorry, but if you want them unlocked, go PvE and help them fill up the quota.

If winning favor doesn't open FoW and UW, then what will winning favor do? Nothing... It gives winning HoH a sense of accomplishment!

(I'm a avid FoW farming, and i also love my HoH.)

i said winning favour alows for something like INCREASED FACTION GAINING SPEED FOR PVP PEEPS....

for pve it alows you to start a Holy Quest in the name of the Deity of your choice....

and as said avid farmer of FoW and HoH, you would be there ANYWAY. gaing the favour simply lets you get into the FoW, where as you would be playing the HoH anyway, why is it such a big deal for you that everyone should be let in? that the prices would go down since anyone could get it?

gees, the sence of achevement excuse for PvP is lame, since you are doing the thing for fun anyway, why would you even need to feel you have achived anything..you gain faction and fame points, that would be achivement enough for most...

and farming FoW..why do it? for items, for fun? we would also like to be able to go to htis place, to find items, to have fun...To get enough ecto shards ect items for the 15k armours that pvp chars cannot actually get, so they are realy just there for PvE, so why make it so hard to ge them by keeping a cetain secton, or rather 3 or even soon to be 5-6 sections of the paying public (those who paid for the game i mean) from these areas.
it costs just to even get in, and if you stuff up at the start, you wasted the cash...
its not THAT special...but its someplace eveyone should be able to get to when they want....

make favour be about just that..the Gods look Down and look favourable upon thee, granting thee a boon...
for PvP, increased faction/fame points, or perhaps a fixed booster like when PvE peeps knowck out a boss..moral boost
for PvE...access to a Quest in the name of the Deity of their choice...

Do what i did get a second account and make it European so now i can do FoW/UW all the time because korea has gone down hill....but being a American in the European districts I do get quite a few rascists remarks

gandalf, not everyone can afford to get a seccond account...i can barely afford to get factions.

besides, we, the publc that a-net has said over and over again, have been sugesting and fratching over this since the game first came out and america always had the favour if it wasnt korea....
we have said it is flawwed from the very beginning...

You just gave me a great idea for the Titan missions. Since favor unlocks FoW and UW, how bout the Titan missions unlock the entrance levels too HoH? We can create a Glint-type Favor system and finally get some balance going. As it stands now, there's no real reason to do the Titan Missions.

When I win HoH, I feel proud that I did it. I guess that's a sense of accomplishment. I am rather surprised that you obviously need a couple of thousand PvE players to depend on you to feel some sort of accomplishment.

As for the favor, there would be countless ways to make it reward PvP players if they have favor.
