12v12 Faction Battles Chart
I think that this would be a great implemt into GW Factions, so thats why I am introducing: PvP Charts!
What it is:This is a list that pops up at the end of an faction battle. On this list you can see which plyers at the kurzicks side that has been the best player, which player at the luxons side that has been the best and of course which player that has been the best of all 24.
Rewards: Of course there must be rewards for the three best players. So let's start of with what the 3rd best player gets: 100 extra faction and 400 gold. The 2nd best player gets: 200 extra faction and 700 gold. The best player gets 250 extra faction, 1 platinum and a 20% chance of winning a random golden item.
Function: The thing you get during the battle is points. And it is the player with the most points who win. Of course this points must come from different things since all characters have different roles. So here's the list of all things that you get points from.
Killing a player: Awards you with 5 points
-Notes: 1)You only get those points if you have the killing blow 2) If a person dies from degen that comes from 2 different players both get 3 points. 3) If a minion kills the player the master gets 5 points.
Healing:: The amount of points during healing varies, see below.
-Notes: If you heal a person with HP below 50% and your healing causes him to get above 50% you get 1 point. 2) If you heal a player below 50% so he reaches 100% you gain 2 points. 3) Then you can imagine for yourself how the point system could work on healing, for example you gain 3 points from healing a person from 25% to 100% HP, the points could varie. But I hope you get the idea.
Degen: Every time you get 10 piles of degen on a player you gain 5 points and everytime you get 7-9 piles of degen on a player you gain 3 points.
Survivor: This is like a timer that only ticks when you are alive and in combat, when it reahes 5 minutes you gain 5 points, BUT the timer gets to zero again if you die.
Damage dealer: At the end of the battle the one who made the most damage gain 5 points.
Tactics:When you take over an "base" you gain one point.
Tanker:The one who takes the most damage will gain 2 points.
Speedy Ranger:the one who shoot the most arrows with his bow gain 4 points(ranger only competition)
Voting:At the end all players get to vote on the player they thought was the best one, the one who gets most votes gain 5 points.
-Notes: You can not vote on yourself and you can only vote on a guy from your faction.
Why? This would add more excitement to the battles and make people more interested and less peopel would leave I think.
Hope you enjoyed reading this, cuz I enjoyed writing it

Far too difficult to accurately impliment.
How would a system like that deal with someone like a Orders/Aegies N/Mo? Time that the enchants were up? And a Ward Ele?
It's an interesting concept, but far too difficult to score in a game like Guild Wars. Especially with the huge variety of roles, from support to offense to defense. And if you can't do it accurately, so it actually means something, is there any point?

Yes maybe there is a point but this is just the idea...then yuo could make it more balanced and better.
But I see what you mean.

If A-net could think of a way to do this then it would be a really good idea possilby prizes like an extra 100 luxon or kaizick points or even gold??

Even if it could be fairly and properly implimented (which it can't), I don't think I'd want it.
I don't want to compete to be the best healer, and I can only imagine the elitest attitude that would come of it. And I don't want any monk waiting until I get down to 25% to spike heal me. Nor is a death neccessarily the monk's fault. The odd times I do a Factions battle will show just how infrequently I actually do it, despite the fact that I may very well be an excellent player.
Oh, there are just so many reasons why I would hate this.

We all love stats but does it really matter in 12v12?
I mean. Most of the kills you get are kill steals anyway. There's a runner with one health left and you just happen to be right there.
So if someone got lucky. A 20% chance of wining a gold item? I say that's quite high.
The other stats are impossible to implement.
Undivine is completly right. Imagine a wammo who just got crazy lucky.
And now he shoves it in everyone's face for the next 10 years.
God I would hate that.
For me it's /unsigned

stats - the best way to make PvP more interesting
at least ANet gets the idea, they can just refine it to the limits they set for the game.
Chapter 2 or Chapter 3??

No body would go for order necro, snare/charge guy (pretty important, believe me), warder or any other build that helps your team but not yourself.

How can people not see the value of crippling enemies? Of countering degen with regen? Of preventing your fellow team mate from taking damage? Of enhancing your team's damage? Of blinding your enemies? Of shutting down their skills or draining their mana? Of removing hexes? Of conjuring spirits? Of stopping your enemy from getting to your spell caster?
There are far too many useful strategies to quantify. The classes are not balanced against each other. They are balanced to work with each other. Competition among one's own teamates is the last thing that should happen.
I'd almost expect people with high scores in some of these feilds to be bad players.

The game "savage" had an awsome scoring system like this. It had about 15 categorys and at the end of the match it showed who won in each category. Very fun. And Undivine, its perfectly feasable to implement, and heck, they can even add an option to not display the scores for fairys.

No voting.. Just make it like Battlefield 2.
(Class) - (Guild) - (Name)
Points Captured - 1 point for nuetralizing, 2 points for taking it over.
Kills - 1 point for an assist, 2 points for a killing blow.
Heals - 1 point for healing someone, 3 points for reviving them. (not yourself)
Deaths - How many times you've died
How it looks in battlefield 2...
For GW spice it could have.. (With no rewards of points)
Most Damage Dealt
Most Damage Recieved
Survivor (Who's lived the longest)
Coward (Judged on who ever has left combat while under 25% hp)
Overall there should be no winnings.. I do like the idea of 150 Faction for Third, 300 Faction for second, and 500 Faction for first. But money would be no good to PvP players, so golds out of the question.
