There needs to be a way to block this from the receiving end though, as it could be a big tool for harassment, i.e. when you ignore the person or put yourself on do not disturb, you don't stand out anymore.

Actually, the same color would work. If they are in your guild, color the guild text. If they are a friend, color their name.
