Henchmen in pre
My computer zones very slow, 'till it's almost impossible to play in pugs. Three times in a row I joined someone to do "Adventure with an ally", and in all three times they got the signet and zoned back in Ascalon, before I even had loaded the whole zone.
Please Anet, give me one henchmen. I really really really can't play in pugs. They are anti-social by default and constantly spam on missions, completely destroying any other form of communication.
I'd like to see one healer, a fighter and an archer in pre cities. That way people learn to use hench early. It is much better for my heart, and really enhances my gaming fun. Hench never call me noob, when I'm testing different builts, no matter how much it sux.

They are impossible to do alone. The "Over the wall" quest, can't be done with hench either, unless I can command the hench to walk through the gate, or the gate doesn't close after 5 seconds.

The quest "The King's Message" introduces alesia to players, so why do we need henchmen in pre?

Maybe I worded that wrong. All but those two are easy to do alone.
IGN: Serenity Monty ..... be glad to help you if I am online and not busy helping guildies. And I won't call you a n00b.

This not a cry for help. I just like to see at least one hench in pre, so I can happily play the game with the chat turned off. If Anet really thinks that hench will make us to strong, make the hench lvl 0. It is still better than most people I encounter in the game. Pugs still think that chaos is a strategy

I can understand why there wouldn't be henchies. The main one being that the quests are too easy and is probably why the max party size is two. I can also understand anet having quests that required you to form a party as a way of introducing that aspect of the game but they already do that in post as already been mentioned above. So I agree with you that something should be done. Maybe not introduce henchies so early in the game but rather change the quests. For the Over the Wall all you should have to do is talk to the gate guard and he opens the gate. The quest is easy as long as you leave the charr alone. As for the Adventure with an Ally quest, when you talk to the monk to get it you should have the option to run over to Devona and pair up with her adding her to your party as a henchie. Then you can just run back to complete the reward. Although I don't have a slow connection I do understand. It wasn't that long ago that I formated my computer and reinstalled the copy of guild wars I bought when it was first released. So needless to say even with a high speed connection it still took forever to download all the new content that was added to every area every time I entered one. After joining the first group that just laid into me after every loading screen I decided to leave and then go around getting all the new content on my own. Some people are just impatient and inconciderate to other's situations.

I kind of agree, I think it would be great if they just had like say, a dummy hench or something. Just any NPC that you could take along with you for the signet quest, and then have him go pull the lever for over the wall. Could be a non attacking NPC like farmer john or something, who's main purpose is just to move you along through these quests. That way, people on dial-up modems or something similar, won't get left out when zoning to different areas in pre-searing.

Henchies can't be in pre-seering, seeing they were born in post, and IF were born in pre-seering they will be eldery veterans in Post.

Sorry, for not taking you up on your offer. The quest is already done, because the fourth person wasn't a fast zoner either.
This thread isn't started to find help for simple pop-in and out quest. I just brought it up as argument. There are healers in pre, so why not have a healer hench? I think Gwen would love to take the job

I'm sure if you ask one of the non-corrupted souls in pre to actually WAIT for you to load, you can do the quest...Try making friends! It works!
Btw, Gwen is a kind of healer henchman no? She gets paid in flowers

Gwen should count as a party member for purposes of Adventure with an Ally if you can't get another player to join (and wait for you).
She is the only henchman you really need in Pre.
